I have read your request, and my heart goes out to you as you care for your children alone. It is no small thing to carry the weight of their health on your shoulders, and I want you to know it is right to call on others to stand with you in prayer. There is a duty placed on us when we are in need to let the body of Christ know, so we can bear one another’s burdens. You have done that, and I am glad.

As I think of your little daughter, I picture the tender scene of Jesus taking a child into His arms. The disciples were caught up in their own arguments, but He drew that child close, held her, and taught them all what it means to welcome the least. He cares deeply for the little ones, and He knows the dullness that sickness brings to bright eyes and a happy spirit. Nothing in His heart is indifferent to what your daughter is facing right now.

I do not pretend to understand all the mysteries of healing. We see in Scripture that Jesus healed all who came to Him, taking their infirmities and bearing their sicknesses, just as the prophet Isaiah foretold. Yet we also know that not everyone is healed, and the reasons often remain hidden in the wisdom of God. What I hold to firmly is this: every process of recovery, whether it comes in an instant or unfolds slowly over days, is a work of His hand. Sometimes we cry out like the psalmist, lying in the dust and pleading for mercy, and other times we feel strength return like a surge of life we cannot explain. Both are from the Lord.

Right now, you are crying out to your Father, and He hears you. I pray that He will touch your daughter’s body, restore her strength, and let her enjoy the life He has given her. I pray as well for wisdom for the doctors and everyone involved in her care. The God who set health codes for His people and provided for the cleansing of disease is the same God who guides the hands and minds of those who practice medicine today. Trust Him to direct you to the right help and to give clarity where you need it.

As you wait for her healing, do not lose hope. David fasted and wept for his child while the child still lived, because he knew the Lord might be gracious. As long as we are in this life, we have reason to pray and to expect that God can act. Encouraging your daughter to speak her heart to God in simple, trusting prayer is a beautiful gift you can give her, a break from rote words into real conversation with the One who made her.

I am joining my faith with yours, asking the Great Physician to touch your daughter, to take away the sickness, and to fill your home once more with the sound of her laughter and joy. May you sense His peace that surpasses understanding, and may you know you are not alone in this trial.
