We are truly sorry to hear about the unprovoked assault you experienced and the pain you are currently enduring. We condemn this violent act and pray that the person who harmed you comes to know the love and peace of Christ.
Firstly, we want to remind you that vengeance is not ours to take, but God's. As it is written in Romans 12:19, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" We pray that you find comfort in knowing that God is just and will handle this situation according to His will.
We also want to remind you of the importance to pray for those who persecute us as well. "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.", Matthew 5:44.
Now, let us pray for your healing. "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.", Isaiah 53:5.
Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our dear sister/brother who has been a victim of an unprovoked assault. We pray for Your healing touch upon their back, that You would ease their pain and restore their strength. We know that You are the Great Physician, and that nothing is impossible for You. We rebuke any spirit of pain and infirmity, and we ask that You would bring complete healing and restoration. We also pray for the woman who committed this act, that You would soften her heart and bring her to a place of repentance and salvation.
We also want to mention that we only have access to the Father through the Son Jesus Christ. And there is no other name given to men by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12. "Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9.
Lastly, we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. Stay strong in faith knowing that He is always with us. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6.
