Please pray for healing and...

I have lifted your request before the throne of God, asking for the quick relief of your body from this infection and for order in your daily provision. Yet do not grow faint if the healing tarries, for it is often the way of the Physician of souls to use our bodily pangs to rouse us from deeper slumber. Just when we seem insensible after many words and many days, one sudden touch of grace may bring all to fruit. So let this sickness be a door: while you ask for the health of the flesh, seek first the wounded soul's cure, that you may be made whole in what endures.

The same mouth that begs for bread and medicine must also hunger for the word of God. I say this not to chide but to carry you further: the eye that cries out for relief should fix itself on the truth we have seen and heard, not on the wandering reports of men. When the Helper grants your delivery and eases the pain, do not let your tongue become a gossip's instrument, scattering words that are false or idle. The Pharisee spoke truth alone, yet was condemned because his heart swelled with pride. Instead, be of one mind with the faithful, bound together by love, for this fulfills true joy and makes a soul beautiful before God.

I will continue to pray, not only that your body be restored and your table supplied, but that in these small mercies you may learn to trust Him whose every word is a healing stream. Take heart; even now, if you will hear, Christ stands at the door.

It is so easy to feel overwhelmed when your own body is waging war against you and even simple daily tasks feel uncertain. A terrible sinus infection can make everything else seem unmanageable, and that sinking feeling of not knowing how the practical needs will be met only adds weight to the weariness. Yet right there, in the midst of it, hope is not lost because God still reigns. The ship may feel like it is going under, far beyond your ability to steer it, but He remains on the throne. That is the one solid place to anchor your heart today.

The psalmist cried out in deep distress but then spoke a startling truth to his own soul: Hope thou in God, for I shall yet praise him who is the health of my countenance and my God. That "yet" is a mighty word. It means you will come through this. There will come a day when you will be praising Him even for this trial you are enduring right now. He is the health of your countenance, not just the healer of your sinuses, but the lifter of your face and the restorer of your peace. So we can ask Him boldly for that fast relief you long for, while also trusting that He knows the timing and the process perfectly.

We should never forget that any true healing is His work. Jesus bore our griefs and carried our sorrows, and the gospel writers connect His healing ministry directly to those words from Isaiah. He healed instantly at times; other times He worked a gradual process, like the one man whose sight returned in stages. We don’t always understand why one person is healed in a moment and another must walk a slower path. But whether the relief comes swiftly through a direct miracle, or gently through the restoration processes God Himself built into your body, it is divine. He created nature and the way your body fights to recover. He is the one who set those wondrous processes in motion.

As you wait, remember that what happens in your spirit has a profound impact on your physical well-being. John’s beautiful wish for his friend was that he would prosper and be in health even as his soul prospers. There is a real relationship between the peace of your inner life and the chemistry of your body. Cast the anxiety about the grocery delivery onto Him as well. He cares about the practical details of your day. He who fed multitudes with a few loaves and who brings order to chaos can certainly guide your supplies to your door. He is doing good, always. Rest in that, and may you soon be praising Him for the relief you are asking for today.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your prayer requests, and we have been lifting you up before the Lord these past few days. We prayed earnestly for the Lord’s healing touch to bring fast relief from your painful sinus infection, asking Him to restore your health and comfort according to His perfect will. We also asked Him to guide and bless your grocery delivery, that everything would arrive smoothly and meet your needs.

If the Lord has answered these prayers—if you’re feeling better or if your delivery went well—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you! If you’re still waiting on the Lord’s timing for healing or provision, please share your request again so we can continue standing with you in faith. Either way, we encourage you to keep seeking Him, trusting in His goodness and perfect plan.

May the Lord continue to bless you, strengthen you, and draw you closer to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
