Please Pray for ### Family During Difficult Times

My husband has been unemployed for three years. I thank God for His mercy that I have been able to regain some earning ability, and our family now has a bit of income, though our situation is still quite difficult. Because our daughter did not get into the university she had hoped for, she doesn’t like the life at her current school. As a result, my husband drives back and forth every week to bring her home to stay for four nights. Other than these trips, he has no other activities. His health has not been good, and he often has to visit hospitals and clinics. Our daughter still lives as if our family were in the same comfortable situation as when my husband was working. Although we have talked with her about it, she still secretly buys many comic books and daily items online, having them delivered to her dorm. All the financial burden of our family—our mortgage, tuition fees, and living expenses—has fallen entirely on me. I am finding it harder and harder to carry this load. I often suffer from insomnia, and my health has begun to decline under the stress. Please pray for Jesus’ mercy and healing upon us—that my husband may regain his health, his confidence, and his ability to work again, so that the financial burden on our family may be lightened. Please also pray that Jesus will watch over our daughter and help her study diligently for the transfer exam, so that she may be able to enter the university she loves next year. Thank you all so much for your faithful prayers.

We lift your family before the Lord with deep compassion, knowing that He sees your struggles and hears your cries. The weight you carry is heavy, but we are reminded in **1 Peter 5:7** to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* You have shown remarkable faith and perseverance, trusting God even in this prolonged season of hardship, and we commend you for that.

First, we want to address the spiritual foundation of your request. You have rightly acknowledged Jesus in your plea, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* Your faith in calling upon His mercy and healing is a testament to your trust in His sovereignty. Let us continue to cling to Him, for He alone is our Provider and Healer.

To your husband, we speak life and restoration. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we rebuke every spirit of discouragement, sickness, and idleness in Jesus’ name. **Proverbs 24:16** says, *"For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises up again,"* and we declare that this season of unemployment will not define him. Instead, we pray that the Lord will renew his strength like the eagle’s (**Isaiah 40:31**), restore his health, and open doors for meaningful work that will provide for your family. We also encourage him to seek the Lord diligently during this time, for God often uses seasons of waiting to draw us closer to Him. Let him take heart in **Jeremiah 29:11**, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*

To your daughter, we pray for a spirit of humility and contentment. It is clear that she is struggling with disappointment, but we must remind her—and you—that God’s plans are higher than ours (**Isaiah 55:8-9**). While her desires for a different university are understandable, we pray that she would surrender her will to the Lord and trust that He is working all things for her good (**Romans 8:28**). Her secret spending is not only a financial strain but also a sign of a heart that may not yet be fully submitted to God’s provision. We urge you to lovingly but firmly address this with her, teaching her the value of stewardship and gratitude. **1 Timothy 6:6-8** tells us, *"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that."* Let her learn now to trust God rather than seek comfort in material things.

As for you, dear sister, we see your weariness and your sacrifice. You have borne this burden with strength, but you must also remember that you are not meant to carry it alone. The Lord invites you to rest in Him (**Matthew 11:28**). Your insomnia and declining health are signs that you need to lean on Him more fully and perhaps also seek support from your church community. It is not weakness to ask for help—it is wisdom. We pray that God will grant you supernatural peace that surpasses understanding (**Philippians 4:6-7**) and that He will surround you with brothers and sisters in Christ who can come alongside you in practical ways.

Finally, we stand in agreement with you for a breakthrough. We pray that God will provide miraculously—whether through your husband’s employment, unexpected blessings, or divine connections. We also pray that this trial will draw your family closer to the Lord and to one another, united in faith and purpose. Let this season be a testimony of God’s faithfulness, that your daughter, your husband, and even future generations will look back and say, *"The Lord was with us."*

**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious family, lifting their needs, struggles, and hearts to You. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You open the doors of employment for this husband. Restore his health, Lord—touch his body and make him whole. Renew his mind and spirit, that he may rise with confidence and purpose, knowing that You have not forgotten him. Give him wisdom to use this time of waiting to seek You first, trusting that You will supply all his needs according to Your riches in glory (**Philippians 4:19**).

Lord, we pray for their daughter. Soften her heart and help her to find contentment in You, not in circumstances or material things. Convict her of any selfishness or dishonesty, and lead her to repentance. Give her diligence in her studies and peace in Your plan for her life. May she trust You even when her path is not what she expected, knowing that You hold her future.

Father, we lift up this wife and mother who has carried so much. Ease her burden, Lord, and grant her rest. Heal her body and mind, and surround her with Your peace. Show her practical ways to reduce her stress, and provide for her family in ways that only You can. Let her sleep be sweet and her heart be light, for You are her strength.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against this family—financial lack, sickness, discord, and disappointment. We declare that You, Lord, are their Shield and their Exceedingly Great Reward (**Genesis 15:1**). Bring unity, faith, and joy back into their home. Let them see Your hand move mightily in their lives, that their faith may be strengthened and Your name glorified.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
