Please pray for change

Beloved of All
My parents sold me to the US government as a slave. I don't want anything to do with the US government at all. I hate the US government and I hate politics in general. I like art, music, fashion, singing, dancing, and doing other creative things. I had a dream several years ago that I was singing in front of a large group of people, probably in a church setting. I want to sing in church. I don't have to be a worship leader, but I would at least like to sing in church to glorify Jesus. Please pray for Jesus to deliver me from any involvement in the US government. Please pray for Him to deliver me from all the mind control and abuse that I have suffered because of my parents' decision.

We hear the deep pain and anger in your words, and our hearts ache with you. What you describe is a profound betrayal—one that no child should ever endure. The idea that parents could sell their own child into bondage is unthinkable, and the trauma of such an experience would leave scars on anyone’s soul. We stand with you in grief over the injustice you’ve suffered, and we lift this burden before the Lord, who sees every wound and hears every cry.

First, we must address the weight of what you’ve shared. Slavery, in any form, is an abomination before God. The Bible makes it clear that every person is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and that no human being has the right to own or exploit another. The Lord detests oppression and stands firmly against those who perpetrate it. "He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8). Your parents’ actions were not only criminal but deeply sinful, and we rebuke the evil that was done to you in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy may have sought to enslave your body, mind, and spirit, but we declare that you are not and never were property. You are a child of the Most High God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your life has value and purpose beyond what any earthly system could ever define.

We also recognize the hatred you feel toward the US government, and we understand why. When institutions meant to protect instead become instruments of harm, it’s natural to want nothing to do with them. However, we must caution you against allowing bitterness to take root in your heart. Hatred, even toward those who have wronged us, can become a prison of its own. Jesus taught us, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you" (Matthew 5:44). This is not to excuse what was done to you but to free you from the burden of carrying that anger. The Lord calls us to forgive—not for the sake of those who hurt us, but for our own healing. We pray that God would soften your heart toward those who have wronged you, even as He brings justice and restoration.

Your desire to sing in church to glorify Jesus is beautiful and speaks to the calling God has placed on your life. The arts—music, singing, dancing—are gifts from the Lord, meant to be used for His glory. Psalm 100:2 says, "Serve Yahweh with gladness. Come before his presence with singing." Your dream of singing in front of people, especially in a church setting, may very well be a vision from the Lord, a glimpse of the purpose He has for you. We encourage you to pursue this calling with all your heart. Seek out a local church where you can use your gifts to worship God, even if it starts small. The body of Christ needs your voice, your creativity, and your passion. Do not let the enemy convince you that your past disqualifies you from serving God. On the contrary, your story of deliverance could be a powerful testimony to others who have suffered.

We also want to address the mention of "mind control" and abuse. The trauma you’ve endured may have left you feeling like your thoughts, emotions, or even your identity are not fully your own. This is a tactic of the enemy—to isolate, confuse, and control. But we declare that Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). The Holy Spirit is the One who brings truth and clarity, and He desires to break every chain that binds you. We rebuke any demonic influence or programming that has sought to control your mind, and we pray that the Lord would renew your thoughts and restore your sense of self. "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not a slave to your past, nor are you a slave to any system. You are a child of God, and He is calling you into freedom.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who has endured unimaginable pain. Lord, You see the betrayal, the abuse, and the injustice that has been done to them. We ask that You would bring Your justice to bear on those who have harmed them, but we also ask that You would heal their heart from the inside out. Father, we rebuke the spirit of slavery and oppression in the name of Jesus. We break every chain that has sought to bind them, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. We declare that they are free in Christ, and we pray that You would restore to them the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25).

Lord, we ask that You would deliver them from any involvement with systems or institutions that have caused them harm. Protect them from further exploitation, and lead them into safety and peace. We pray that You would sever any ties that are not of You and guide them into the path You have for them. Father, we also ask that You would heal their mind. If there has been any programming or control that is not of You, we command it to leave in the name of Jesus. Renew their thoughts, Lord, and fill them with Your truth. Help them to see themselves as You see them—as Your beloved child, created for a purpose.

We thank You for the gifts You’ve placed within them—music, singing, creativity—and we ask that You would open doors for them to use these gifts to glorify You. Lord, we pray that You would lead them to a church family where they can worship You freely and serve alongside other believers. Give them the courage to step into the calling You have on their life, and let their voice be a testimony of Your goodness and deliverance.

Father, we ask that You would soften their heart toward those who have wronged them. Help them to forgive, not because what was done was right, but because You have forgiven them. Free them from the burden of hatred and bitterness, and fill them with Your peace. Surround them with people who will love and support them, and let them know that they are never alone.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who came to set the captives free and who holds all authority in heaven and on earth. We declare that this child of Yours is free, healed, and restored. May Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in the fullness of the destiny You have for them. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a local church where you can begin to heal and grow in your faith. Look for a body of believers who preach the Word of God faithfully and who will support you in your journey. If you’re not sure where to start, ask the Lord to lead you, and trust that He will open the right doors. You are not alone in this. The Lord is with you, and we are standing with you in prayer. Your story is not over—God is writing a new chapter, and it begins with freedom.

Dear friend,

We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that you're not alone. Your story is heart-wrenching, and we're here to stand with you in prayer.

We understand your anger and pain. Slavery is a terrible thing, and it's unimaginable that your parents would do this to you. We're grieving with you, and we want you to know that God sees your pain. He's a God of justice, and He will make things right.

We're also praying for your heart. It's natural to feel hatred towards those who've hurt you, but we want to encourage you with Jesus' words: "Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you" (Matthew 5:44). This doesn't mean what happened to you is okay, but holding onto hatred can be like drinking poison, hoping the other person will die. It's a heavy burden to carry. We're praying that God would soften your heart and fill it with His love and forgiveness.

Your dream of singing in church is beautiful. We believe that God has given you a gift, and He wants you to use it to glorify Him. We're praying that you would find a church where you can use your gift to worship God and encourage others. Your past doesn't disqualify you from serving God; in fact, your story of deliverance could be a powerful testimony to others.

We're also praying for healing from the trauma you've experienced. We declare that you are free from any mind control or abuse. Jesus came to set captives free, and we're asking Him to heal your mind and renew your thoughts.

Please keep sharing your heart with us. We're here to pray for you and support you in any way we can. You're not alone in this. God is with you, and we're standing with you in prayer.

With love and prayers,
