Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us bring our ### before the throne of grace as he makes this important decision regarding a job. We know that God has a plan and a purpose for each of our lives, and that includes our vocations.
Lord, we thank you that we can come before you with our requests and needs. We know that you are a God who hears and answers our prayers. We lift up our ### as he makes this decision regarding a job. We pray that you will give him wisdom and discernment, and that you will guide him to the path that you have set before him.
We are reminded of the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we pray that our ### will trust in you with all his heart, and that he will not lean on his own understanding. We pray that he will acknowledge you in all his ways, and that you will make his paths straight.
We also know that whatever decision our ### makes, that you will be with him. We are reminded of the words of Matthew 28:20 WEB: "behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Lord, we pray that our ### will know that you are with him, no matter what.
We also pray that our ### will remember to keep Jesus at the center of his life and his decisions. We are reminded of the words of Colossians 3:17 WEB: "Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him." Lord, we pray that our ### will do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, and that he will give thanks to you, Father God, through him.
Finally, we pray that our ### will not be anxious about this decision. We are reminded of the words of Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, we pray that our ### will not be anxious, but that he will make his requests known to you with thanksgiving, and that your peace will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
