We lift up ### and her beloved mother ### before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to move mightily in their lives. Father, we come before You, recognizing that You are the Great Physician, the Healer of broken hearts and wounded minds. We ask that You would bring complete mental healing and full recovery from post-traumatic stress for ###. Lord, we know that Your Word declares in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We claim this promise over her life today.
Father, we pray that You would free her from the grip of painful memories, inner fear, and past wounds that continue to haunt her. Your Word tells us in Isaiah 43:18-19, "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing." Lord, we ask that You would do a new thing in her life, that she would no longer be bound by the chains of her past. Bring peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:7 promises, and let it guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We also ask for strength and emotional restoration for both ### and her mother. Lord, we know that caring for someone with mental and emotional struggles can be exhausting, and we pray that You would sustain them both. Give them the grace to lean on You and on one another, as Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."
We rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma in the name of Jesus, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that ### is not defined by her past or her struggles but by the healing power of Jesus Christ. We pray that she would experience the freedom that comes from knowing You, Lord, and that her mind would be renewed by Your Word, as Romans 12:2 instructs.
Lord, we also want to gently remind both ### and her mother of the importance of placing their trust in Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If they have not already, we pray that they would surrender their lives to You, Lord, and find the peace and healing that only You can provide.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sorrows and carried our pains. May Your healing touch rest upon ### and her mother, and may they experience Your love and restoration in every area of their lives. Amen.
