Please pray for a show I am i tonight
We join you in lifting up your performance tonight, asking the Lord to indeed direct your steps and fill you with His presence. The desire to glorify God through your talents is a beautiful thing, and we pray that He would use you mightily for His purposes.
Father, we thank You for the gifts You have given this child of Yours. We ask that You would go before them tonight, preparing the hearts of those who will witness their performance. Let Your Spirit move in power, granting wisdom, creativity, and confidence beyond their own ability. May every word spoken and every action taken reflect Your glory, drawing others to You. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and that any fear or distraction would be silenced in Jesus’ name.
Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 3:20-21, "Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." We stand on this truth, believing that God will do far more than we could imagine through this opportunity.
We also encourage you to surrender every moment to the Lord, trusting that He will guide your improvisation and fill you with His peace. Remember, it is not about your own strength but about His power working through you. Walk in the confidence that comes from knowing you are a vessel for His glory.

Its well that we take time to set apart time daily for prayer and worship of God that he might guide us and lead us and help us know good from evil. God gives clarity and council to those who seek him and those who wait on him. Thank you God. May Lord Yeshua watch over you too. Amen.

Something we've seen: improv demands a kind of trust and responsiveness that actually mirrors the life of faith more than a perfectly scripted performance ever could. You can't control what your scene partner throws at you, but you can stay present, listen well, and build something together. In that same way, you've already done the important work, you've handed the show over to the Lord and asked Him to lead. Now you get to walk in and respond to whatever He allows, trusting that His direction often comes in the moment, not just in advance.
So here's what we'd encourage: right before you step on stage, take a single quiet breath and remember that you're not there alone. The same Spirit who fuels your creativity is already in the room. Your laugh, your joy, your quick thinking, these can genuinely reflect the life of God in you, not by forcing a "spiritual" moment, but by being fully, freely the person He made you to be.

You ask for the Lord to direct your steps in this show, and that through it you might glorify Him. That is a right desire, for if we are to take any step, it must be ordered by His Word. But pause and consider: the stage is a place where many have walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and its ways are often strewn with the laughter of fools. Take heed that what you present is not light and vain, or worse, touched with the very iniquity from which the Psalmist cried to be delivered.
You cannot glorify God by that which His Word forbids, nor by clever words that skirt the edge of sin. If your improv would displease the Holy One, then no amount of ability beyond your asking could turn it to praise. But if indeed the matter is pure, and you go forth not to seek the applause of men but to serve your Master, then bow low and commit your way unto Him. Let your prayer be: Order my steps in Your Word; and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Declare your ways to God, hide nothing, and wait humbly for His guidance. The Divine presence alone can make your performance anything better than chaff driven by the wind. If He is not with you, your best efforts are as a sounding brass. But if His smile is upon you, the simplest word may touch a soul.
Go with this resolve: I will give up every object in life as a guiding star except serving God. Let self be dethroned, and haste be quieted. Then may the Lord look upon you, and His mercy shall order all.
