We join you in lifting up these students before the Lord and we share your burden for what has been happening in their classroom. It grieves our hearts when words and actions are used to hurt rather than to build up, and we agree with you in asking God for real and lasting change in their hearts and behavior.

Scripture shows us how serious our words are. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, those who love it will eat its fruit Proverbs 18:21. Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear Ephesians 4:29. With the tongue we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men who are made in the image of God. Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so James 3:9-10. These verses rebuke the use of hurtful words and behavior, because every classmate is made in the image of God and is worthy of dignity and kindness. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger Proverbs 15:1.

We also hear your specific concern for the two who have been hurting other students in particular. We pray that the Lord would soften their hearts and bring them to genuine repentance. God promises I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26. Only He can transform a heart that has been hard or careless toward others.

We pray together for all of these children.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and Your transforming power in the lives of each of these students. Lord, help them to truly understand the impact their words and behavior have on others. Open their eyes to see the hurt they have caused and give them godly sorrow that leads to repentance. Clothe them with compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility and perseverance as Your chosen ones Colossians 3:12. Fill them with Your Spirit so that the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control may be evident in their lives Galatians 5:22-23. Teach them self-control over their tongues and their actions, and help them learn to treat their classmates with kindness, respect and love as You have commanded us to love one another. We also lift up those who have been hurt, that You would heal their hearts, comfort them and help them to forgive. Give wisdom, strength and patience to teachers and parents as they correct and disciple these children in love. May this classroom become a place of encouragement and peace where each child builds others up.

We encourage you to continue to speak truth in love to these students, to correct them consistently and to model for them what it means to use words that give grace. God is able to bring real change as they are taught to consider others more important than themselves and to watch over their speech.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and can come boldly to God in prayer. We pray that each of these students and all who care for them would know this saving grace.

We thank God that He hears our prayers and that He desires for these young hearts to be changed to reflect His love. We continue to stand with you, trusting Him to work deeply and to bring reconciliation and kindness among these classmates in Jesus name, amen.

We are grateful you brought these students to us in prayer. It is painful to watch hurtful words and behavior continue in a classroom, painful for the children who are on the receiving end and heavy for those who are acting this way and do not yet see the impact.

We join you in praying for real heart change, not just better behavior for a day. Compassion grows as children learn to see a classmate not as an object for frustration but as a person with dignity worth honoring, and that kind of other-centeredness is learned over time through guidance and consistent example. Self-control is also learned, often in small steps, as they practice pausing, noticing what stirs the unkind impulse, and choosing a different response.

One thing that can help alongside prayer is steady, calm follow-through from the adults around them, noticing and gently naming what happened, helping them put words to how the other child might have felt, and warmly affirming every effort toward kindness so the new pattern has a chance to take hold.

Father, we lift each of these students to You in Jesus name. Protect those who have been hurt and bring them comfort and healing. Work in the hearts of those who have hurt others, give them true compassion and self-control, and help them learn to treat their classmates with kindness and respect. Give wisdom and strength to teachers and parents as they guide them. Amen.

We join you in bringing these children before the throne of grace, and we pray that the Lord will hear this burden for those who have used hurtful words and behavior toward their fellow students.

We ask that He would show His marvelous loving kindness toward them, that self sacrificing love which gave His Only Begotten that sinners might be saved. We pray He would show it to their hearts, that they may see how unworthy they have been of such kindness, and be led to thankfulness and to repentance.

For the heart is the vital place, and no lasting good is done until the heart is touched. We pray that the sword of the Spirit would prick them in the heart, not merely cut to the heart and then turn aside, but prick in the heart unto true sorrow for sin. May they be brought to cry, Search me and know my heart, and to pass their words and thoughts in review with Caution and Self examination at the helm.

We pray for that gracious and instantaneous change which only God can work, that He would take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that He would put a new heart and a new spirit within them. For man cannot put a new heart into himself, the heart being the motive power of all life, but God can and does victoriously conquer the heart. We ask Him to soften what is hard, to prepare the heart and there to write His law, so that holiness becomes their pleasure and compassion their nature.

So we pray that God would help them to understand the weight and impact of their words, to feel the pain they have caused, and to turn from it. May He give them a tender heart to perceive His presence, a self controlled tongue, and a renewed mind to treat their classmates with kindness, gentleness and respect, as those who love their neighbor as themselves.

We also remember before the Lord those who have been wounded by these words and actions. The heart is the center of sensation and its wound is exceeding painful. We pray the honored Healer who binds up the brokenhearted would heal them, staunch their wounds with His own bleeding heart, and lift the clouds of sorrow that hang over them.

Seek a new heart and a right spirit for these little ones, and trust the Holy Ghost to work it. We will continue to pray that real change, not mock humility but true lowliness of heart, may be seen in their lives, to the glory of Christ.

We join you in bringing these students before the Lord in prayer, and we thank you for caring enough to intercede for both those who have caused hurt and those who have been hurt.

We pray that God would bring real change to their hearts and actions. We ask that He would open their eyes to see the impact their words and behavior have on others, and give them a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness and longsuffering. We pray He would teach them self control, so that they may be slow to speak and quick to listen, forbearing with one another and choosing words that build up rather than tear down.

We pray especially for the two who have been most involved in hurting others, that the Lord would convict them in a way that leads to repentance, and that He would replace harshness with gentleness and cruelty with true kindness. May they learn to treat their classmates with dignity and respect, as those made in the image of God.

We also lift up the students who have been wounded by these words and actions, that God would comfort them, heal their hurts, and guard their hearts. We pray they would know they are deeply loved by Christ, and that He would give them grace to forgive as Christ forgave us, even as they seek safety and wholeness.

We pray for teachers, parents and all who guide these children, that God would give them wisdom, patience and loving firmness as they correct, teach and model what it means to love one another well.

We trust that God hears these prayers and is able to transform hearts. May He bring peace to this classroom and help this whole community grow in love, unity and compassion.

Thank you for bringing this burden and for caring enough to pray for these students by name. We are joining you in prayer for each one, and especially for the two who have been hurting others, that God would bring real and lasting change in their hearts and actions.

True compassion is not something any of us can manufacture on our own. It is something God Himself must place within the heart. That is our hope here. The Lord is able to take a cold and hardened heart and make it soft and caring, and we are asking Him to do that work in each of these young lives. We are praying for a greater compassion to be born in them, a compassion that comes from God and reflects His kindness.

Scripture reminds us that God looks on the heart. He sees not only outward behavior but what is happening inside, and He desires to rule over the heart and mind. There is a real battle for the mind and heart, and we are praying that God would have His way there, leading these students away from self centered ways which always end in emptiness, and toward a life that shows His kindness and self control to others.

So we are praying that God would help them truly understand how their words and actions affect their classmates, that He would give them eyes to see the hurt they have caused, and that He would teach them to treat others with the kindness of the Lord. We are asking for self control in moments of anger or impulse, for a willingness to listen and learn, and for teachable hearts that ask questions and receive correction so they may grow.

We pray that the Lord would surround these students, their classmates who have been hurt, their families and teachers with wisdom and grace, and that He would use this difficult time to bring healing, restoration and a genuine change that honors Him.

We are asking God to help them understand the impact their words and behavior have on others, to give them compassion and self control, and to help them learn to treat their classmates with kindness and respect.

We pray that the Lord would soften their hearts, bring conviction where it is needed, and fill them with a spirit of kindness and gentleness. We pray they will learn to speak what is helpful for building others up according to Eph 4:29 and to clothe themselves with compassion and kindness as taught in Col 3:12.
