Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear your heartfelt plea for your family and your upcoming school year, and we stand with you in lifting these requests before our Heavenly Father. First, let us affirm that God hears the cries of His children, and He delights in drawing families closer to Himself. Your desire for your parents’ marriage to be restored and for your family to grow in godliness is a beautiful reflection of His heart for unity and holiness.

The Bible tells us in Malachi 2:15, "Did he not make one, although he had the residue of the Spirit? Why one? He sought a godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth." Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness. We pray that your parents would remember the vows they made before God and that He would soften their hearts toward one another. May they seek reconciliation, forgiveness, and a renewed commitment to honor God in their marriage. Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage to You. Lord, You are the author of love and the restorer of broken relationships. We ask that You would mend what is torn, heal what is wounded, and bring Your peace into this home. Father, remind them of the love they once shared and the promises they made before You. Help them to lay down their pride, to forgive one another, and to seek Your will above all else. May their marriage be a testimony of Your grace and a foundation of stability for their children. We ask that You would draw them closer to You and to one another, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We also lift up your family’s spiritual journey. The Bible calls us to holiness and warns against the ways of the world. In 1 Peter 1:15-16, we read, "But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'" It is not enough to simply avoid "bad things"; we must actively pursue righteousness and godliness. This begins with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If anyone in your family has not surrendered their life to Him, we pray that they would do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Let us pray for their salvation and sanctification:

Lord Jesus, we lift up each member of this family to You. We ask that You would break the chains of sin and draw them into a deep, personal relationship with You. Father, reveal Yourself to them in powerful ways, so that they may know You as their Savior and Lord. Convict their hearts of sin and lead them to repentance. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in holiness and bear fruit for Your kingdom. Help them to turn away from the things of this world and to set their minds on things above. May they grow in faith, love, and obedience to You. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

As you and your siblings begin a new school year, we pray that God would go before you and make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." School can be a place of both opportunity and challenge, but we serve a God who is greater than any obstacle. We pray that you would excel in your studies, that you would be a light to your peers, and that you would stand firm in your faith, even in the face of temptation or persecution. Let us pray:

Father God, we ask that You would bless this new school year for these children. Give them wisdom, understanding, and a hunger for knowledge. Help them to apply themselves diligently to their studies and to honor You in all they do. Lord, surround them with godly friends and mentors who will encourage them in their faith. Protect them from negative influences and give them the courage to stand for what is right. May they be a witness for You in their schools, showing Your love and grace to everyone they meet. We ask for Your favor and blessing to be upon them, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Finally, we want to encourage you to be an active participant in your family’s spiritual growth. Pray for your parents and siblings daily, not just when you are together, but in your private times with God. Be a example of Christ’s love in your home, showing patience, kindness, and forgiveness. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:16, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Your faithfulness in the small things can have a profound impact on your family’s journey toward God.

We will continue to stand in the gap for you and your family, believing that God is at work even now. Trust in His timing and His plan, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you, and may He give you peace as you walk in His ways.

We are grateful you reached out and shared what is on your heart. It means a lot that you are carrying your family in prayer, wanting your parents marriage to grow stronger and your whole family to walk closer with God. That kind of love is a gift to your home.

We hear how much tomorrow matters to you with school starting, and we are joining you in praying daily as you asked, for peace in your home and a good year for you and your siblings.

One small thing that can help when you are hoping for big changes at home and at school is to keep your own walk steady. You might try taking a minute each morning before school to pray quietly for your parents, your siblings, and your day, and then look for one simple way to show kindness at home or in class. Small, faithful steps often encourage others more than we realize.

We also want you to know we are standing with you, not just for one day but through this year.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus name. Draw each heart closer to You, bring healing and understanding between these parents, and help this student and their siblings know Your presence as school begins. Give them peace, protection, and joy in learning, and guide this home in Your love. Amen.

We have heard your request and we count it a privilege to bring it daily before the throne of grace. It is a good thing that you desire to see your parents marriage made stronger, your whole family drawn near to God and turned from evil, and your school year marked by His mercy, for these are things that God delights to grant when we seek Him in the name of Jesus Christ.

We will pray that the Lord will bless your parents according to His own design for marriage, which is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that He will help them to walk together in love, patience and faithfulness. The blessing we need must come from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, and no spiritual blessing comes by chance. He blesses us just where we are poorest in spiritual things, and He can fill a home that seeks Him and make it to overflow with blessing to all around it.

Your longing that everyone in the family gets close to God and stops doing bad things points to that true repentance which is unto life. There is a carnal repentance that is of the flesh and does not give God glory, but true repentance is the work of the Spirit of God, it gives God glory, it makes us weep and abhor our past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and it makes us avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for us. Repentance and faith are inseparable. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart must go together. Such repentance is practical, it yields works meet for repentance, and it lasts, for repentance lives as long as faith. We will pray that the Lord will grant to each one in your household this godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, and with it the full and free remission of sins preached in the name of Jesus, for where there is true repentance there is forgiveness through His finished work.

We will pray also for you and your siblings and all who begin school tomorrow. May the Lord keep you, give you diligence in your studies, kindness toward others, and a heart to bless Him from the first word of the day to the last. It should be our life to bless Him who gave us our life, and if it is well pleasing in His sight that sinners should repent, we are in the most practical way blessing God when we labor to bring others to repentance through faith in Christ. May He make you a blessing in your home and in your school.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, pour out Your grace and peace upon this family. Grant true repentance unto life to each heart, turn them from every evil way, and draw them to Yourself through faith in Christ alone. Strengthen the marriage bond of these parents, make it steadfast in love and holiness according to Your holy ordinance, and let Your goodness lead them all to repentance. Bless this new school year, keep these children in Your fear, help them to learn well and to walk uprightly, and let their lives give You glory. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Christ is worthy, and His blood pleads for sinners. Amen.

Your request has been heard and I will pray daily for you as you have asked.

I will bring before the Lord your parents and their marriage, that God would strengthen their bond and help them live in peace and holiness. Marriage is a bond ordained by God and it is honorable, and He is able to make it firm and pure when husband and wife walk together in love, patience and faithfulness. I will pray that He heals what is wounded and teaches them to honor one another.

I will also pray for your whole family, that you all may draw near to God through Jesus Christ alone, turn away from what is evil, and follow what is good. God delights to give grace to those who seek Him with a sincere heart, and when we turn from sin and seek holiness He restores us and makes us whole.

For you and your siblings as the school year begins, I will pray that the Lord grants you diligence, a clear mind, modesty and obedience, and that He keeps you from harmful influences. May He help you to govern your desires, to be faithful in your studies, to honor your parents and teachers, and to grow in wisdom and in the knowledge of God. I pray that this year will be fruitful for you all, not only in learning but in character and faith.

Let me pray for you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this family. Strengthen the marriage of these parents, grant them peace and unity and keep them faithful to the covenant You have joined. Draw each member of this household to Yourself, forgive their sins, and lead them to walk in holiness and love for You. Guard these children in the year ahead, give them grace to learn well, to do what is right, and to bring glory to You in all things. Amen.

Continue to pray, to read the Scriptures, and to encourage one another to do what pleases God. He hears those who call upon Him sincerely.
