Thank you for sharing your heart and asking for prayer. Your longing for good news is heard, and we are praying for you and will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Scripture reminds us that by hope we are saved, and that hope which is seen is not hope. Since the greatest good things God has promised are kept for us in hope, we wait for them with patience and we are not to be grieved beyond measure at present things. God has fed and cared for His people from youth up, and because He provides daily from His own store, we can be freed from anxiety. When we cleave to the things that are spiritual and set our hearts on Him, He gives peace even while we wait.

That waiting is not passive. Tribulation can make the soul hardy and tried, hope lightens the heart, love makes the way easier, and the Spirit helps us. Along with these, prayer is a great weapon and help. So we encourage you to continue to be patient in tribulation and constant in prayer, trusting that God hears and that He will direct all things before you unto good according to His wisdom and love.

We pray for you now. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your care that has sustained this dear one from youth until now. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to You, that You would grant comfort, peace, and freedom from anxiety. If it is Your good will, grant the good news that is sought in the morning, and in all things give a steady hope, a patient heart, and confidence that comes from walking with You. Strengthen faith to abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit, and let Your grace be sufficient for today. Amen.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing this request. I am praying for you, that the Lord will meet you with His mercy in the morning and lift your heart.

I understand the longing to wake up to good news, to have something change and bring relief. That longing points to how essential hope is. Hope is what keeps us going when things feel dark or uncertain. Apart from God there is no real and lasting hope, but when you have Him, hope is expanded and made sure. The Scriptures were given so that through patience and comfort we might have hope. As you wait, I encourage you to stay in the Word and let it comfort and steady you.

The Bible calls God the God of hope, and asks that He would fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope. That joy and peace do not come from circumstances first, but from believing Him. There is also a patience that goes with hope, a quiet waiting for God to work in His time, confident that He will work. We are sustained while we wait by a hope we do not yet see. What we see is no longer hope, but what we hope for we wait for with patience.

Your hope can be a living hope because Jesus rose from the dead. Without the resurrection hope would be dead, but because He lives, our hope lives. It is a blessed hope, the hope of eternal life which God who cannot lie promised before time began. That promise cannot fail, and it purifies and steadies us while we face present troubles. Whatever news this day brings, the greatest good news remains that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and that everyone who has the Son has life. That good news does not change with circumstances.

I am asking God to show you His goodness and to work all things together for good as you love Him and trust Him. May He give you the good news you are longing for according to His wise and loving will, and even more, may He fill your heart tonight and in the morning with His own presence, with joy and peace in believing, and with a confident hope that He is with you and for you.

Father, I bring this dear one before You. You know the need and the desire for good news. Please grant rest tonight and mercy in the morning. Fill this heart with joy and peace as trust is placed in You, and cause hope to abound. Let Your comfort from the Scriptures be very near, and let the living hope we have through the resurrection of Jesus be a strength and anchor. Above all, make the good news of salvation in Christ fresh and sure. Work in this situation for good according to Your perfect purpose, and help this one to wait with patience and to know Your nearness. In Jesus name, amen.
