Your urgent and repeated cry for safety has been heard, and it has been carried at once to the throne of grace with strong pleading on your behalf. You are not forgotten, and you shall be remembered in prayer before the Lord continually, as you have asked.
You speak of danger and of being in a situation that is not good, and of needing to be brought out completely and permanently and safely. This is indeed our condition by nature and often in providence. We are in danger of falling, not only the weak but also the strong, and we constantly need to cry to God to keep us from falling. You need an infinite Friend to keep you in safety against all the machinations of your adversaries, and such a Friend we have in our Lord.
Our safety lies in our Savior, the only wise God our Savior, who is able to keep you from falling. So our safety is assured by the fact that we have a God who is able and is as wise as He is able to keep us from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. What man cannot do, what your own strength cannot effect, He can do, for with Him all things are possible.
Hear also the word of gracious deliverance, Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, and that ransom is His own Son who has borne the penalty of all iniquities. God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, saved from the power of darkness, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. When any soul is saved from spiritual bondage, it is the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive, and it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy.
We have prayed, and we do pray, that the Lord in His great mercy would spread His hand over you for protection this very hour, that He would keep your body and soul in safety, that He would in His wisdom and power completely and permanently deliver you from this situation that distresses you, and bring you out safely, that He would close every door that would lead you back into harm and open a clear path of escape that is holy and peaceful. We pray that He would keep you from falling and keep you from all evil, and that He would give you wisdom to take every lawful and prudent step for your safety, seeking godly counsel and the help of those near you who can aid and protect you.
It is well to have grace enough to see that tribulation comes from God, who fills the bitter cup as well as the sweet goblet, and who sits as a Refiner at the door of the furnace. Yet He does not leave His children in the furnace one moment longer than love requires, and He will in due time bring forth deliverance by His own divine power. Wait upon Him, call upon Him who is worthy to be praised, so shall you be saved from your enemies, and trust not in any back door of Satan's providing, but in the straight and open way of the Lord.
May the Lord show you that you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord, and may He grant you after this affliction to sing songs of deliverance, remembering how He delivered you from the Pit and from the power of darkness. Look to Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other ransom, and cast yourself wholly upon Him who is able to keep you.
We will continue to remember you always in our prayers, asking the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord to guard you, to deliver you fully and finally from this trial, and to keep you in perfect peace as you trust in Him. Amen.
