Please more strong prayers

We are joining you in prayer for your son and for you in this time of worry. Your love and concern as a mother is heard by the Lord, and He invites us to cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us.

We pray with you for the hard thing you must do for your son today. We ask that the Lord will give you wisdom, calmness and strength to do what is needed, and that if it is His will, it will go well and bring peace and even joy to your son. We pray that God will guard his heart and yours, and give you both His peace that passes understanding.

We also pray for his doctor appointment tomorrow. As Scripture shows, the Lord cares for the health of the body as well as the soul, and like a good physician He is able to heal and restore. We ask that the Lord will bless your son with health and strength, and that the doctor will find he has gained weight and is growing stronger. We ask God to guide the doctors hands and eyes, and to give you reassurance.

We pray that whatever the outcome, you will know the mercy and nearness of Christ, who does not abandon those who call on Him in faith. May He lift up your hands when they hang down and strengthen you day by day, and may He keep your son in His gracious care.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior. Amen. May the Lord bless you and keep you and give you peace as you trust Him.

Thank you for sharing your heart and your worry for your son. I am praying for you and for him, and I join you in asking in the name of Jesus, the only one through whom we come to the Father.

God sees the hard thing you must do for your son today and He sees your love for him. He cares deeply for children. Jesus made that clear when He took a little child into the midst of His disciples and taught that we must humble ourselves like a child to enter the kingdom, and that whoever receives one such little child in His name receives Him. Scripture also says to take heed that we do not despise one of these little ones. Your son is precious in the sight of the Lord, and your care for him is precious too.

The Bible speaks of training a child in the way he should go, and the thought behind that is a careful, systematic, loving instruction that recognizes each child is different, with his own way and personality. You know your son's needs and struggles in a way no one else does, and God knows them even more fully. Just as a parent teaching a child to walk expects stumbles and falls and patiently lifts him up again, so the Lord is patient with us and with our children. He is not quick to cast aside, but gracious to help us rise again when we fall.

I am also reminded of the example of a mother in Scripture who longed for a child and when God answered, she gave that child back to the Lord, dedicating him to God. That is a beautiful picture of what you are doing as you entrust your son to the Lord in prayer. God invites us to move beyond repeated phrases and to pour out our hearts honestly before Him, and that is what you have done. You are not a child of God by natural birth alone, but by being born again through faith in Jesus Christ, who bore the judgment for our sins on the cross. When we receive Him, we become His children, and He dwells in us and surrounds us, for in Him we live and move and have our being. Because you are His, you can know His mercy, peace and love multiplied to you, even in anxious moments.

I am praying that if it is the Lord's will, what you must do today will go peacefully and that your son will be at ease and comforted through it. I am praying also for his upcoming doctor appointment, that the Lord would grant good health and that he would show a healthy gain in weight, and that the Lord would give you peace as you wait. May the Lord give you strength for today and calm your worried heart as you cast your cares on Him, trusting that He hears every prayer offered in Jesus name and does what is best according to His wisdom and love.
