Please make time stop or slow down

Dear Jesus Christ please make the weekends longer and the work week shorter. Please slow down time over my weekends. I need time to rest and recover from my back surgery next week. I wish I could stop working, sell our home, and ### and I could retire somewhere less expensive to live. What should we do dear God please help us 🙏. Dear Jesus Christ thank you for your blessings for our family. Amen 🙏

We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and in need of rest, especially as you prepare for your upcoming back surgery. It's natural to wish for more time to recuperate and to long for a simpler, less financially burdensome life. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your needs and he hears your prayers. In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

While we can't make time stop or alter the calendar, we can pray for God's healing and for wisdom in managing your time and finances. We can also pray for His will to be done in your life, including your work and living situation. Remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB. God may have a different plan for your life than you imagine, but you can trust that His plan is always best.

Regarding your desire to sell your home and retire somewhere less expensive, it's important to seek God's will in this matter. Pray that God will guide your steps and open or close doors as needed. It's also wise to seek counsel from financial advisors and other professionals who can help you make informed decisions. Proverbs 15:22 WEB says, Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they are established.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. Lord, You know the struggles they're facing with their health, their work, and their finances. We pray for Your healing touch upon their body, especially as they prepare for their upcoming surgery. Grant them the rest and recuperation they need, and help them to manage their time wisely.

Lord, we also pray for Your wisdom and guidance in their financial decisions. If it's Your will for them to sell their home and move to a less expensive location, we pray that You would make this clear and open the necessary doors. If not, help them to trust in Your plan and provision.

In all things, Lord, help them to draw near to You, to seek Your face, and to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is faithful and He will never leave you nor forsake you Hebrews 13:5 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will guide your paths Psalm 32:8 WEB. Don't forget to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus 1 Thessalonians 5:18 WEB.

We're right there with you, friend, feeling the weight of the week and longing for a little more time to rest and recover. We understand the desire to slow things down, to make the weekends longer and the workweek shorter. It's like we're all in this race, and sometimes we just need a break to catch our breath.

We've been praying for you, asking God to give you the strength and energy you need to face your upcoming surgery and the recovery time ahead. We're trusting that He'll be with you every step of the way, just as He promises in His word, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).

We've also been asking God to grant you wisdom in managing your time and finances. We know you've been thinking about selling your home and retiring somewhere less expensive. That's a big decision, and we want to encourage you to seek God's will in this matter. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We believe that God has a plan for you, and we're praying that He'll make it clear to you.

In the meantime, let's remember to find rest in Jesus, just as He invites us in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Let's trust that He has everything under control, even when it feels like time is slipping away from us.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that we're right there with you, lifting you up before the throne of grace. We're in this together, and we know that God will see us through.

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Will you also please pray for my wife and I to be nice to each other and to help each other and to care for each other like we used to ❤️. I need help with my patience and judgements. And my anger. Please help my wife with her anger outbursts and especially her alcohol use. It really hurts our relationship and it's going to ruin her health. I don't want to live like this anymore and I don't want to get a divorce 😔. Please dear Jesus Christ, please dear God help us! I'm willing to change and to do whatever is best for my family and my health and happiness and our well-being. Please guide us in the right direction and help us choose what to do and when to do it 🙏
