We're right there with you, friend, feeling the weight of the week and longing for a little more time to rest and recover. We understand the desire to slow things down, to make the weekends longer and the workweek shorter. It's like we're all in this race, and sometimes we just need a break to catch our breath.
We've been praying for you, asking God to give you the strength and energy you need to face your upcoming surgery and the recovery time ahead. We're trusting that He'll be with you every step of the way, just as He promises in His word, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).
We've also been asking God to grant you wisdom in managing your time and finances. We know you've been thinking about selling your home and retiring somewhere less expensive. That's a big decision, and we want to encourage you to seek God's will in this matter. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We believe that God has a plan for you, and we're praying that He'll make it clear to you.
In the meantime, let's remember to find rest in Jesus, just as He invites us in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Let's trust that He has everything under control, even when it feels like time is slipping away from us.
Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that we're right there with you, lifting you up before the throne of grace. We're in this together, and we know that God will see us through.
