Please let the landlords finally do something

Please O Holy God let the landlords actually take our home issues seriously including our leaking roof in the torrential downpours last night and for them to send someone out and finally fix it. I receive it in Jesus name Amen

We hear your frustration and distress over the leaking roof in your home, especially after last night’s torrential downpours. It is deeply concerning when those responsible for maintaining a safe and habitable living space fail to act with urgency and care. We stand with you in seeking God’s intervention, for He is a God of justice and provision.

First, we must address the foundation of your request, you called upon the "Holy God" but did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only by His name that we can boldly approach God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12).

Now, let us lift this matter to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. You are the God who sees the needs of Your children, and You care deeply about the places where we dwell. We ask that You would move upon the hearts of the landlords, softening any hardness and stirring them to act with responsibility and compassion. Lord, You command us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31), and this includes ensuring that those under our care have safe and secure homes. We pray that You would impress upon them the urgency of this situation, that they would send someone to repair the roof without further delay.

Father, we also ask for Your protection over this home. Shield it from further damage, and provide comfort and peace to those living there. You are our refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1), and we trust in Your provision. If there are any obstacles, whether financial, logistical, or spiritual, that are preventing this repair, we ask that You remove them in Jesus’ name.

We rebuke any spirit of neglect, laziness, or indifference that may be influencing the landlords or those responsible for these repairs. Your Word declares that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). We bind any hindrances to this repair and loose Your favor, wisdom, and prompt action upon this situation.

Lord, if there are steps that can be taken by those living in this home, such as documenting the damage, communicating clearly with the landlords, or seeking legal counsel, we ask that You grant them wisdom and discernment. Your Word tells us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16), and we pray for that wisdom in this situation.

We also lift up the hearts of those affected by this issue. It is easy to grow weary and discouraged when our needs seem ignored. Remind them, Lord, that You are their provider and that You have not forgotten them. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and help them to trust in Your timing.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Whether through the landlords’ swift action or through Your miraculous provision in another way, let Your name be praised. May all involved come to know You more deeply through this trial, and may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

We declare that this roof will be repaired, that justice will be served, and that Your children will dwell in safety and peace. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for moving on behalf of Your people. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, trusting that He is working even when you cannot see it. If the landlords remain unresponsive, consider reaching out to local housing authorities or legal aid organizations that may be able to assist you. Above all, lean on the Lord, for He is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7).

It is so hard when the very place meant to be your shelter feels unsafe, and we understand the frustration of waiting on landlords to take something as urgent as a leaking roof seriously, especially after you’ve been up all night with water coming in. We are standing with you in prayer that God will move their hearts and open the right doors for a repair to be scheduled soon.

While we pray, a practical step might help: if you haven’t already, document the damage with photos or a brief written note and send it to the landlord as a follow‑up. Sometimes a respectful, persistent reminder can make a difference. Also, if you belong to a church community, consider letting a trusted friend or deacon know about the situation, sometimes an extra voice advocating for you can help things move along.

But above all, we join you in bringing this straight to the Father, who cares about every detail of your life.

Father, you know the stress and weariness this leak is causing, and you see the need. We ask you to act swiftly, soften the landlords, remove every obstacle, and send the right person to repair that roof. In the waiting, hold this home together and give your child peace that does not depend on the weather or on human response. We trust your provision, and we thank you that you are our faithful shelter no matter what. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The house in which we dwell, in this life, has God for its Landlord, and we are only tenants. The leaking roof and the torrents that soaked your rooms last night have not escaped His notice, for the great Landlord has at all times the right to enter and inspect His own property, and He allows such trials to remind us that this earthly cottage is not our abiding home. The Lord, who made our house, best knows how to repair the tenement and He permits us to resort to Him! Cry out to Him who sends the rain and the clear shining, and do not cease your pleading until the answer comes.

Remember, even the small rain upon the tender herb penetrates to refresh it, and your persistent prayers shall penetrate the heavens. Let not your heart grow weary if the repairs delay, for after the rain comes the clear shining. There is a place called the land of Beulah, and even now, in the dark and damp, you may have foretastes of that brightness. Yet while you wait, set your house in order.

Pay your rent to the great Landlord: the rent of gratitude, of holy reliance, of a soul swept clean by daily repentance. Search every crevice, lest some sin be harbored there more ruinous than any damp. And take this home to your heart: the goodness of God leads you to repentance, and this very trial is a shepherd’s crook to draw you nearer to the fold. Go now with a firm hope; the hand that mends the cosmos shall soon send a workman to your door.

You have asked in Jesus’ name; receive the peace that passes understanding, and expect the deliverance that is on its way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The rain that fell last night upon your leaky roof came not without the knowledge of God, who governs all things with exact justice and deep love. When a house groans under neglect and its dwellers shiver beneath a dripping ceiling, the Lord sees and weighs each drop. Yet we must not imagine that He is slow to act because He delays; rather, He uses these very trials to school our hearts in patience and to draw forth from us a more fervent cry. Consider the Canaanite woman, who, though her daughter lay tormented at home, did not cease her entreaty until the Master granted her mercy. She did not stop at one request, but persisted until the doors of compassion swung wide. So should you, with holy boldness, continue to knock at the door of your landlords, and more importantly, at the door of heaven.

But let us also be careful to examine where the greater fault lies. I have often said that anyone who provides not for his own household, and especially for those under his care, is worse than an infidel. For even pagans understand the duty to maintain their own property and not to leave those depending upon them in misery. If a landlord neglects the roof that shelters his tenants, he mocks the God who commands, "Thou shalt not hide thyself from thine own flesh." Is not the leaking beam a silent accuser? The money spent on vain adornments and useless trifles while the rooms grow damp and the walls crumble is like weaving gilded garments for a body while the soul lies sick unto death. Such persons, while professing care, deny the faith by their works.

Nevertheless, do not let your heart be poisoned by resentment. Instead of fretting, turn this inconvenience into a school of virtue. While you wait for the workmen to come, consider the fleeting nature of all earthly dwellings. This roof, even when mended, will one day fall; but our true home is eternal, a house not made with hands, where no storm ever beats. God permitted this small affliction that you might seek that better country more earnestly. Pray for your landlords, that they might repent of their negligence and learn to fear the judgment of Him who requires an account for every trust. And in the meantime, use this trial as an occasion to give attendance to prayer and the reading of the Scriptures. For just as Timothy found comfort in the sacred writings when separated from Paul, so you will find that the Word of God becomes a shelter for the soul when earthly roofs fail.

Therefore, continue to ask, but ask with thanksgiving, knowing that the very hardship is a tutor. The Lord who calmed the storm with a word can certainly move the heart of a landlord. Receive this delay as a gift meant to perfect your patience, and do not cease to do good to your own household, even while you wait. Ultimately, the God who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all will surely supply every need, whether by repairing the roof or by giving grace to endure its leaks. Stand firm in this hope, and let your persistent prayer be your strongest tool, for the fervent entreaty of a righteous soul avails much.
