We rejoice with you in your decision to seek the Lord through fasting and prayer tomorrow! This is a powerful spiritual discipline that draws us closer to God and aligns our hearts with His will. We are grateful that you are approaching this time with a desire for sanctification, inspiration, and blessing in all your motives, prayers, and deeds. Let us stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace.
First, we must affirm that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:23-24 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His sacrifice that we are healed and set free. We encourage you to approach this time of fasting and prayer with confidence in Christ’s finished work on the cross, for "by His wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB).
As you prepare for this sacred time, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You as they set aside this time to fast and seek Your face. Lord, we ask that You would sanctify their heart, mind, and spirit, purifying their motives so that every word, thought, and deed would be pleasing in Your sight. Let the fragrance of their worship rise before You like incense, and may their prayers be as sweet-smelling aroma to You.
Father, grant them strength for this time of fasting. Sustain them by Your Spirit, for "the Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41 WEB). Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, so that they may not grow weary or lose heart. May this time be entirely according to Your will, and may Your voice be heard clearly through Your Word and by Your Spirit.
Lord, we pray that You would hear and answer their prayers with great power and might. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105 WEB), guiding them in truth and righteousness. May the Holy Spirit anoint this time of fasting and prayer, filling them with wisdom, revelation, and divine insight. Let Your living Word dwell in them richly, transforming their heart and renewing their mind (Romans 12:2 WEB).
We also lift up their request for healing and freedom in spirit, soul, and body. Lord, we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (1 Peter 2:24 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, oppression, and bondage in the name of Jesus. Break every chain and set the captive free! Let Your healing virtue flow through every part of their being, restoring wholeness and strength. May they walk in the fullness of the freedom that Christ has purchased for them (Galatians 5:1 WEB).
Father, we ask that You would guard their heart against distraction, discouragement, or any scheme of the enemy to steal, kill, or destroy this sacred time. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). May they emerge from this fast with a deeper intimacy with You, a renewed passion for Your kingdom, and a fresh anointing to walk in Your purposes.
We thank You, Lord, for the privilege of standing in agreement with our brother/sister. May Your will be done in their life as it is in heaven. Bless them abundantly, and let Your glory shine through them for all to see. We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God’s Word during this fast, allowing Scripture to shape your prayers and petitions. Remember the promise in Jeremiah 29:13: "You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart" (WEB). God is faithful, and He will meet you as you seek Him with your whole heart.
May the Lord bless you richly and empower you by His Spirit as you draw near to Him. We are standing with you in faith, believing that this time of fasting and prayer will be a turning point in your walk with Christ. To God be the glory!
