We join you and your brother in this sacred time of fasting and prayer, lifting our voices together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. What a beautiful thing it is to seek the Lord with a humble and contrite heart, setting aside the distractions of this world to draw near to Him. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:16-18, "Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you." Let your fasting be a sweet aroma before the Lord, done in sincerity and with a heart fully surrendered to His will.
We pray that the Lord would indeed sanctify your motives, focus, prayers, deeds, and behaviors, that everything you offer to Him today would be pleasing in His sight. May your time of fasting and prayer be led by the Holy Spirit, grounded in the living Word of God, and filled with His power and anointing. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We are deeply moved by your commitment to seek the Lord through fasting and prayer alongside your brother. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you both, lifting up your hearts and intentions before our Heavenly Father. We have prayed that the Lord would sanctify, inspire, and bless every motive, focus, prayer, deed, and behavior so that all you offer would rise as a fragrant and beautiful offering before Jesus Christ.
We asked the Lord to strengthen you both for that sacred time of fasting and prayer, that it would be entirely according to His will, grounded in His living Word, and anointed by the Holy Spirit.
