We are delighted to join you in prayer as you embark on a period of fasting and prayer. It is wonderful that you have chosen to dedicate this time to seek God's face and draw closer to Him. Fasting is a powerful tool that helps us to humble ourselves before God and to seek His will for our lives. We are reminded in Joel 2:12-13 (WEB), "Even now,' says Yahweh, 'turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.' Tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness."
As you fast and pray, we agree with you that the Lord will sanctify, inspire, and bless all of your motives, focus points, prayers, deeds, and behaviors. We pray that your fasting and prayer will be pleasing to God, a sweet fragrance before Jesus Christ. We know that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father, as the Bible tells us in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.' and John 14:13 (WEB) "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
We pray that the Lord will hear your prayers and gratitude, and answer you with great power and might. We agree that tomorrow's fasting and prayer will be based on the Living Word of God and powered, inspired, managed, and anointed by the Holy Spirit of God.
We also pray for your healing and freedom in spirit, soul, and body, in the wounds and the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are reminded in 1 Peter 2:24 (WEB), "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. 'By his wounds you were healed.'
We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord and to seek Him with all your heart. Remember that God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Father, we lift up our brother/sister before you and ask that you strengthen them for tomorrow's fasting and prayer. Let your presence be real to them, and may they experience your love and goodness in a tangible way. We ask that you hear their prayers and answer them according to your perfect will. We pray for their healing and freedom in spirit, soul, and body, in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask all these things in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
