We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, through whom we have victory over every power of darkness. We recognize the spiritual battle you and your mother are facing, and we take authority over every scheme of the enemy, rebuking witchcraft, sorcery, and every evil work in the name of Jesus. The Bible declares in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We do not fight alone, for the Lord is our strength and our shield.
We pray that the blood of Jesus would cover you and your mother, forming a hedge of protection around you both day and night. Psalm 91:5-6 assures us, "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday." We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment shall be condemned, for this is your heritage as servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
We bind every spirit of witchcraft, sorcery, and divination operating against you and your household in the name of Jesus. We loose the power of the Holy Spirit to break every chain, dissolve every curse, and render every evil plan ineffective. James 4:7 reminds us, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand in agreement with you, declaring that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We pray for your spiritual armor to be strengthened daily. Put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). Let your faith be unwavering, knowing that the Lord is your refuge and fortress. Psalm 34:17 tells us, "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles."
We also pray for your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Beloved soul, I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the stronghold of His people, the vanquisher of every dark power. Your cry has reached my heart, and I would be faithless were I not to send back a word of comfort and holy direction from the storehouse of God’s truth.
You are in a hard-fought battle, and you have asked for the constant intercessions of the saints. This is no small thing, for it is written that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. I perceive you are tempted to fear, looking at the strength of the adversary as though the hosts of hell were mightier than the Captain of our salvation. But I charge you, look away from the witchcraft and the covens, and fix your gaze upon the Lord who turned again the captivity of Job. Do you not remember that His restoration came precisely at the moment he prayed for his friends? His own deliverance was tied to his intercession for others. You plead for prayer to be offered for you, but let this trial also drive you to pray mightily for that very relative who has become a vessel for such evil. For even now, while you feel the venom of their malice, you are called to the Master’s own pattern: to bless them that curse you, and to pray for them which despitefully use you. This is not merely a duty; it is the omen of your own returning joy.
Let not your supplications become a cry of despair, as though Christ’s victory were yet in doubt. When David was beset by mortal peril, he did not cease his cry, yet his soul rested in the covenant. Hear his plea: “Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.” I bid you lay hold of the promises. God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power. The sorcerer and the witch cannot touch a hair of your head without your Father’s leave. Is He not a wall of fire round about you? Under the shelter of the Most High, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. I adjure you therefore: do not pray as though you had not yet received the protection of the blood of Jesus. Having committed your souls to a faithful Creator, there comes a time not merely to ask, but to believe that you have the petition you desired of Him. To go on trembling as though Christ were not interceding for you at the right hand of the Father is an unseasonable prayer, a knocking upon a door that has already been flung wide open. Rise up and claim your liberty! The Son has made you free, and you are free indeed.
Yet, while you stand fast in this faith, neglect not the gathering of the saints. Come with your mother into the assembly of the church as often as the doors are open. For it was when the disciples were with one accord in one place, continuing in prayer, that the power from on high descended. The prayer meeting is the appointed place for the reception of divine might. Let the brethren lay hands upon your petition and bear it up with you, for when two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything they shall ask, it shall be done for them of our Father which is in heaven. I shall bid the faithful here to make mention of you in their supplications. But you yourselves must not be silent. Let your own bedchamber ring with holy violence, pleading the blood that speaketh better things than that of Abel. That blood silences every curse and drowns every incantation in its cleansing flood.
Finally, my dear brother or sister, beware lest this trial drive you to a practical prayer of “Depart from me, O Lord.” Despondency can be a subtle sin when it causes us to act as though the Comforter had abandoned us. He abides with you forever. Let not your unread Bible, your neglected worship, or your fearful heart bid the sacred Guest to withdraw the conscious joy of His presence. Be filled with the Spirit. Sing psalms in the night watches. Magnify the name of Jesus, and you shall see the darkness flee before His light. The Lord grant you to know that He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. I wait to hear of your triumph and your peace. Peace be unto you.

The warfare you speak of is not a new assault. Do not think it strange that such malice rises against you, for our common enemy is a devouring spirit, and his servants are always restless. The whole life of the faithful is a contest, and you have been placed in the front of the battle. Remember, this republic is at war not with flesh and blood, but with devils and incorporeal powers. Their captain, however, is not one of men, nor even of angels, but God Himself. The armor He gives is not of hides and steel, but of truth, righteousness, and faith. You ask for around-the-clock intercession, and that is exactly what you have, not merely from this church below, but from Heaven itself. For we have a High Priest who did not merely intercede once for all, but who ever lives to make intercession for us whenever it is needful.
Do not be shaken because the venom comes through a relative and covens. What did they say of your Lord? Did they not call Him a deceiver and a sorcerer? Did they not slander Him, saying He cast out devils by Beelzebub? His whole life was full of insults, yet He did not promise His own deliverance from death; He granted them something far greater, the power to despise death itself. You see, He does not push His soldiers into dangers, but sets them above dangers. When He permits such trials to come near you, granting you more than if He had simply removed the enemy, He implants in your soul a saving doctrine, fixing your mind on realities that death cannot touch. To suffer for righteousness while clinging to Him is a pledge of His love, for it marks you as one engaged in a good warfare, not serving under a tyrant.
The sorcerer Elymas withstood the Apostles, warring not against them, but seeking to pervert the right ways of the Lord. He was full of guile and villany, a child of the devil, and the hand of the Lord fell upon him. These servants of darkness weave their toils, even as they accused the harlot from Phoenice of doing by drugs and spells, but the power that undid her tyranny of sin is the same power that shields you. That woman, once a ruin of many, outshone all in godly reverence. How? By fleeing to the Physician of souls. Your refuge is the same. Let them mutter their spells; what can they do against those whose High Priest has no successor and saves to the uttermost? The star at Christ’s birth did not prove the power of astrology; His coming put down fate, stopped the mouths of demons, and overthrew all such sorcery forever. Their arts are a defeated tyranny.

It is impossible for a man in combat with the wicked not to be exposed to tribulation. If you seek only rest or joyous living, you have forgotten that you were enlisted to fight. The season for rest is not now; this is the time for toil and labor. You are not fighting to conquer mere men, but to reset the evil bias of your own nature through trust in God. Do not be absorbed by the malice of your enemies, for the Evil One wants you to think of nothing else but their power. Lift your eyes higher. Your Captain sees the ambush, and He has already won the field. Stand fast by calling upon the High Priest who ever liveth. He is not dead, like a priest of old who could no longer aid; He is able to save all men completely.
