We are deeply grieved to hear of your grandpa’s suffering and the additional trials your family is facing, but we take heart knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus Christ is a testament to your trust in Him, and we join you in lifting this burden to the Lord, for it is *only* through His name that we find salvation, mercy, and healing. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We cling to this truth as we intercede for your family.
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we rebuke every scheme of sickness, pain, and fear in Jesus’ mighty name. Your grandpa’s fall and the bacterial infection were not accidents outside of God’s sovereignty, and we ask the Lord to turn this trial into a testimony of His power. We pray for the surgeons and medical staff attending to him, that the Lord would guide their hands with wisdom and precision, removing every trace of infection and restoring strength to his leg and arm. May the blood of Jesus, which cleanses from all sin, also cover his body, driving out every sickness and disease, for *"by his stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5, WEB).
We also lift up your grandma, who is unwell. Father, we ask that You touch her body and renew her strength. Comfort her heart, Lord, for we know the weight of watching a loved one suffer can be overwhelming. Surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and restore her health so she may stand firm in faith alongside your family.
To you, dear brother or sister, we encourage you to hold fast to hope. The trials you face are not in vain; the Lord uses them to refine your faith, which is *"more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire"* (1 Peter 1:7, WEB). Stand firm in prayer, for *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB). Gather your family, if possible, and pray together, declaring the promises of God over your grandparents. Play worship music, read Psalms of healing, and fill their room with the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this family and their beloved grandpa. Lord Jesus, You who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), we ask for Your healing touch to flow through his body. Rebuild what is broken, cleanse what is infected, and restore him to full health. Father, we also ask for Your healing hand upon his grandma—renew her strength and grant her comfort. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of sickness, pain, and fear in Jesus’ name, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Give this family supernatural peace and unity as they trust in You. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your glory manifested in this situation. We ask for financial provision if there are medical costs, and for wisdom for every decision that must be made.
Above all, Father, draw each of them closer to You through this trial. May their testimony be one of Your faithfulness, and may others see Your power and believe. We thank You in advance for the miracles You are working, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
