We join you in lifting up your heart’s cry to our Lord Jesus Christ, who hears the pleas of His children and is mighty to deliver. Your desire to flee from a place of strife and find a home of peace is one He understands deeply, for He Himself is our peace (Ephesians 2:14). We praise you for turning to Him in this trial, for He alone can open doors no man can shut and provide rest in the midst of turmoil.
The Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your situation is not hidden from Him, and He sees the intentional harassment you face. While it is commendable that you seek to avoid conflict, we must also remember that Jesus calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean enduring abuse without wisdom, but it does mean entrusting vengeance to the Lord (Romans 12:19) while seeking His guidance on how to respond with grace and truth. If this neighbor’s actions escalate or become unlawful, it may become necessary to involve authorities—not out of retaliation, but as a means of protecting your family and upholding justice, which is ordained by God (Romans 13:1-4).
Yet your primary request is for a new home, and we stand with you in faith that our Father, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), will provide. Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* As you seek Him above all else, trust that He will lead you to the right place in His perfect timing. He is not unaware of your need for peace, safety, and a fresh start. We also encourage you to pray over the sale of your current home, asking the Lord to prepare the right buyer and to grant favor in every detail. Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* This is not a guarantee of instant results, but a promise that when we surrender our plans to Him, He will guide our steps.
Let us also remind you that even in this difficult season, your home can be a sanctuary when it is filled with the presence of God. Joshua 24:15 challenges us, *"As for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh."* No matter where you live, you can invite the Holy Spirit to fill your home with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Play worship music, pray over each room, and declare Scripture over your household. The enemy may seek to steal your joy, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Now let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her family in their time of need. Lord, You see the distress they are facing—the intentional harassment, the lack of peace, and the desperate longing for a new home. We ask that You would be their shield and defender, surrounding them with Your angels as they seek Your will. Father, You know the perfect place for them to live, a home where Your peace reigns and Your presence is tangibly felt. Open the doors that no man can shut, and close the doors that are not of You. Prepare the way for the sale of their current home, Lord, and bring the right buyer at the right time. Give them wisdom in every decision, and let Your favor rest upon them as they search for a new dwelling.
We rebuke the spirit of strife and harassment that has sought to torment this family. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these forces to flee, for no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill their hearts with Your peace, Lord, and let them rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Father, we also ask that You soften the heart of this neighbor. Convict him of his actions, Lord, and lead him to repentance. May he encounter Your love in a way that transforms his heart, and may any bitterness or anger in our sister’s heart be replaced with Your forgiveness and grace.
Finally, Lord, we pray that through this trial, their faith would grow stronger, and their testimony would bring glory to Your name. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let them see Your hand moving in ways they cannot deny, and let this season be a testament to Your faithfulness.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
