We hear your cry for mercy and we stand with you in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only in His name that our prayers are heard. We join you in lifting this unspoken request to the Lord, trusting that He knows it fully even when it is not spoken aloud.
We understand your desire to believe that your prayer has already been answered, and we encourage you to hold fast to faith while also resting in God's perfect will and timing. Jesus said in Mark 11:24, Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. And we are reminded in 1 John 5:14, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. We also take comfort that God indeed knows the unspoken groanings of our hearts, as it is written in Matthew 6:8, Therefore don't be like them, for your Father knows what things you need before you ask him, and in Psalm 139:4, For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered in Romans 8:26. Your Father who sees in secret will reward you, as Jesus taught in Matthew 6:6, But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
We also hear your hurt over those who mocked and belittled your prayer, even comparing it to Moses and the Red Sea. We know how discouraging it can be when others speak carelessly about something so precious to you. We gently encourage you not to carry bitterness or to assume the worst about their motives, for only God sees the heart. We are called to guard our own hearts and to respond with grace. It is written in Romans 12:19, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, and in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. We are also taught in Ephesians 4:29, Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. While God indeed can still part seas today, for nothing is impossible with Him, we also walk humbly before Him, submitting our requests to His wisdom and not demanding a sign. We pray that any who have spoken in a mocking way would be convicted and drawn closer to the Lord as well.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that You are merciful and full of compassion. We lift this dear one to You and this unspoken burden that You know intimately. You see every tear, You hear every silent cry, and You know the depth of this need far better than we do. We ask for Your mercy to be poured out. We ask that You would strengthen faith to believe without doubting, as James 1:6 says, But let him ask in faith, without any doubting. Grant peace that surpasses understanding as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Heal any wound caused by harsh words and help this heart to forgive those who have mocked, and to not be turned aside from seeking You. Let Your will be done in this situation, and help our faith to rest not only in the answer we desire but in Your goodness and sovereignty. We trust that You are working even now for good for those who love You. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring this unspoken request before the Lord in the quiet place, day by day, with thanksgiving and trust. Do not let the voices of others cause you to hide in shame, but let your secret prayers be a place of intimate fellowship with the Father who loves you. Keep believing, keep abiding in Christ, and keep aligning your heart with His Word, knowing that He hears, He cares, and He will answer according to His perfect love and wisdom.
