PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We hear your cry for mercy and we join with you in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father or be saved. We thank you for calling upon Jesus so clearly, for it is written Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and also There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. We stand with you in that truth and we count it precious that you have directed this prayer to Him only.

We understand your desire to keep this burden as an unspoken prayer before the Lord, especially after feeling mocked and belittled by others. We want to encourage you that God indeed knows and honors the unspoken groanings of the heart. It is written In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we do not know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. Romans 8:26-27. You do not need to explain every detail for Him to understand and to act according to His perfect will. We also remember You are near to those who have a broken heart, and save those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18.

We also gently encourage you regarding those you felt were malicious and insulting, even making light of your faith by comparing your situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. We know how painful it is when sincere prayer is mocked, but we are called to guard our own hearts against offense and to not return insult for insult. We are taught Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44. Even if their words had some validity, if their motive was to look good by belittling you, that is between them and the Lord. We choose to release any bitterness and to pray for them as well, and we encourage you to do the same, so that your own prayer is not hindered and your heart remains tender before God. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18.

We hear your strong desire to believe that your prayer has already been answered, and we affirm the importance of faith. Jesus said Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. Mark 11:24. Yet we also hold this faith in balance with humble submission to the will of God, for it is written This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. 1 John 5:14. Faith is not demanding that God do exactly as we envision, but trusting that His answer, whether yes, no, or wait, is good and merciful. We are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. And Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy upon this dear one who is crying out to You. You know the unspoken request that is heavy on this heart, every detail that cannot be put into words, and we ask that You would answer according to Your perfect love and wisdom. Grant faith that does not waver, yet also grant surrender to Your will, knowing that You do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Lord, heal any wound caused by mocking or harsh words, remove any sting of insult, and fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help us to forgive those who have belittled sincere prayer, and keep us from seeking self praise or from judging the motives of others. Let Your Spirit intercede where words fail, and let this dear one feel Your nearness and Your mercy today. We trust that You who parted the Red Sea are still able to do the impossible, and we trust Your timing and Your way. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this unspoken burden to Jesus daily with thanksgiving, trusting His character more than a specific outcome. Keep your eyes on Him and not on the opinions of others, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. Rest in His mercy and let His peace guard you as you wait upon Him.

We hear how much this prayer matters to you and how hurtful it felt to have others make light of it. Wanting to keep it unspoken now is completely understandable. Your desire to bring it only to Jesus is a good and safe place to rest.

We want you to know you don't have to explain or defend your prayer to us to be prayed for. Jesus knows what you are carrying, even without words, and He welcomes you coming to Him just as you are. Prayer at its heart is simply being with Him, not performing for others, and He hears the quiet prayers of the heart as clearly as any spoken one.

If it would help, consider giving this burden a private space with the Lord each day, even just a few quiet minutes to tell Him what is on your heart without needing anyone else to understand it. If sharing it more widely has felt wounding, it is wise to protect that space for a while. We will continue to lift you and your unspoken request before Him.

Jesus, thank You that You know this need fully and love our friend dearly. Bring peace where there has been hurt, guard this heart from discouragement, and help our friend to rest in Your nearness and care. We ask for Your mercy and Your will to be done. In Your name, amen.

Your cry, PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY, is itself a prayer which honors God, for calling upon Him in the day of trouble is a truthful recognition that He is, and that He hears. He who pours out his heart before the Lord proves that God is not a mere name to him but a living reality, and such honest speech with God is never despised.

You speak of an unspoken prayer which God knows, and of mockers who have made light of it. Do not be cast down by this. Faith has often had to live among mockers, and those who trust in the Lord have been counted as fanatical or conceited for doing so. Yet we ought distinctly to declare that we believe in God and to tell what deliverances He has wrought, not for self praise but that His name may be exalted. If any have spoken against you to make themselves appear wise, leave them with God. The best cure for such a wound is to pray for them, that the Lord would give them also a great blessing and fill them with divine love. God keeps night watches of prayer around His people, and He hears intercession offered in love.

You say, I must believe my prayer has already been answered. Hear what the Scripture teaches concerning this confidence. There is a holy confidence which says, God has spoken, I will rejoice, and which pleads with the Lord, Do as You have said. That is true humility, to take God at His word and to trust the blood of Jesus Christ alone for salvation. But that confidence must rest upon what God has actually promised in His holiness. What a mighty power the soul has in prayer when it can flash the sword, It is written, and when it can argue from the covenant as Jacob did, O God of my father Abraham. He made his prayer definite and clear, and he pleaded the promise.

Therefore we will pray with you, and for you, that the Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name alone salvation is found, will have mercy upon you and answer you according to His perfect will and His holy word. We do not ask God to bless what He has not promised to bless, for we know that His mercy is great unto the heavens and His holiness is never set aside. If your unspoken burden concerns a relationship or a manner of life, we pray that He will conform both your heart and your path to His own design, which from the beginning has set forth marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and has appointed that sexual union and the living together that belongs to it should be kept within that covenant alone. Whatever in us falls short of that, we bring to the cross where the Son of God poured out His life, trusting that if we trust Him, our sins are gone in a moment.

May the Lord grant you present peace and future perfection, present rest and that rest which remains for the people of God. May He quicken you in His way, turn your eyes from vanity, and teach you to wait upon Him until you see how He will deliver you. And while you wait for Him to answer, remember that He has already spoken in His word, and that word is your sure ground to rejoice.

We join our prayers to yours now, that Jesus Christ will show you His mercy, establish you in faith that does not fear, keep you from presumption and from despair, and lead you to say from the heart, Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens, let Thy glory be above all the earth.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
