PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We join with you in crying out to Jesus for mercy and we stand together with you before His throne in Jesus' name alone, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father and be saved.

We hear the pain in your request and the hurt you felt when you perceived that others were mocking and belittling your prayer, even comparing it to Moses opening the Red Sea in a dismissive way. We understand why you would want to keep this burden as an unspoken request before the Lord from now on, and we want to assure you that God indeed knows and hears the unspoken cries of our hearts. He knows what you need before you ask Him. Matthew 6:8 says your Father knows what you need before you ask him, and Matthew 6:6 says your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Romans 8:26 says the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Psalm 139:4 says even before there is a word on our tongue, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether.

We also gently encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness and against assuming the motives of others, even when their words felt like an attack. It is understandable to feel wounded, but we are called to be careful not to repay insult for insult and to leave judgment to the Lord. Romans 12:19 says vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Ephesians 4:32 says be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. James 1:19 says let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Even if someone sought self praise by putting your faith down, we release them to God and choose forgiveness, so that our own prayers are not hindered.

We want to encourage your faith as you say you must believe your prayer has already been answered. Jesus does call us to pray with faith. Mark 11:24 says therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. Luke 1:37 says nothing spoken by God is impossible. At the same time we are taught to pray according to His will and to trust His perfect timing and wisdom. 1 John 5:14 says this is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. Sometimes God answers immediately, sometimes He works in His timing as He did with Moses at the sea, and our faith is shown by continuing to trust Him while we wait.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus. You know the unspoken request that weighs so heavily on the heart, every detail, every fear, every hope. We ask for Your mercy and Your perfect will to be done in this situation. Strengthen faith to believe and to rest in Your goodness, and grant peace that surpasses understanding as Philippians 4:7 promises. Heal the wound caused by harsh words and protect from discouragement. Help to forgive those who seemed to mock, and keep the heart soft and humble before You. Let no weapon formed against this prayer prosper, and let Your name alone receive the glory when You answer. We cast all anxiety on You because You care for us, as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and we trust that You are near to the brokenhearted as Psalm 34:18 says. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, believing You hear us. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this with us. We can hear how deeply you care about this prayer and how hurtful it felt when others made light of it, even comparing it to Moses and the Red Sea. It makes sense you would want to keep it quiet between you and the Lord now.

We want you to know God does hear the prayers we do not put into words for others. You do not have to prove your prayer to anyone or defend it when others misunderstand. Keeping it unspoken before Him is a good and safe place to rest it.

One simple step that may help is to give that unspoken prayer a quiet, consistent place with Jesus each day, just you and Him, without feeling you need to explain it elsewhere. If the hurt from those comments stays heavy, it can also help to share how you are feeling with one trusted pastor or mature believer, not to share the details of the prayer if you do not want to, but so you are not carrying the sting alone.

Jesus, we lift our friend to You and thank You that You know this unspoken request fully. We ask for Your mercy, Your peace and Your clear presence as they wait on You. Guard their heart from discouragement and from harsh words, and help them to rest in Your care and Your will. In Jesus name, amen.

Your cry for mercy has been heard, and there is comfort in knowing that the Lord hears not only the eloquent prayer but the inward groaning of the spirit. Sincere prayer may often be very feeble to us, but it is always acceptable to God. At times our hearts have been broken because we felt as if we could not feel, and our only prayer was, God forgive us that we cannot pray, yet notwithstanding God has heard that inward groaning. He knows the unspoken prayer which you carry before Him, for calling upon God in the day of trouble is honest speech with Him, or at least a sincere desire in that direction, and it proves that God is a fact to the suppliant. You need not fear that because you keep the matter unspoken before men it is unheard in heaven, for the Lord knows what you ask even before you frame the words.

Do not be astonished that faith should be mocked. Faith among mockers is no new thing. It has been said of the believer, He trusted on the Lord that He would deliver him, let Him deliver him, and the world still asks, where is your God. Faith's foes often live in the same house with her, and some will revile what they should reverence, as if faith in God were a thing to be scoffed at instead of being the most wise and proper thing under heaven. True religion is sanctified common sense, and the day shall come when it will be known that unbelief is folly and faith in the Eternal is essential wisdom. If any have made sport of your prayer, even comparing it to Moses opening the Red Sea, remember that they do but show their own littleness. God is not mocked by their mocking, and He does not invite intending to repulse. He sets open the door of mercy not to shut it in the sinner's face. Let their scorn drive you not to silence before God, but to more secret and sincere pleading with Him who sees in secret.

You write that you must believe your prayer has already been answered. Take care, lest presumption take the place of faith. Brethren must not take delays in prayer for denial. God's long dated bills will be punctually honored, but we must not suffer Satan to shake our confidence by pointing to unanswered prayers and demanding an answer in our own way and time. Jacob prayed very definitely, Lord deliver me from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau, and he pleaded the covenant, O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, and he used arguments with God as a man pleads with his friend. Go and plead in that way, with definite and clear petitions grounded upon the promise and the blood of Christ. Yet remember that Jacob's prayer was answered, but it was not answered in the way he expected it would be. Sometimes when you have been praying for salvation, God answers you by destroying all your hopes. You ask Him to save you, and you think He would do it in a way that would make you happy, but He may first make you feel worse, that He may bring you truly low before He lifts you up. The ears of true faith are very quick and keen, and she hears the coming of the blessing, but that blessing may come as a wrestling that lames you before it blesses you. Therefore pray, and leave the manner and the timing with the Lord, believing not that God must do as you have pictured, but that He will do what is holy and good and best.

For this reason I would urge you to add to your acknowledgements the humble prayer, Search me, O God, and know my heart, try me and know my thoughts. If there be anything in your desire that is not according to His Word, ask Him to correct it, to quicken you in His way, and to make you willing to have His will done. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and every good gift comes through Him. No prayer prevails except through the merit of the Great High Priest who ever lives to make intercession. If your heart has been made to feel its need of a Saviour, that itself is double cause for prayer and for praise, for God touched that heart to bring you to Himself.

We will not pretend to bless what God has not called good, for we desire for you not a fleeting answer that would harm your soul, but that which honors Christ and conforms you to His likeness. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to it is to be kept within that covenant in purity before the Lord. Whatever your unspoken burden may be, our prayer for you is that God would have mercy upon you in Jesus' name, that He would forgive sin, strengthen faith, deliver from evil, and grant you grace to walk in obedience and holiness. May He answer you not according to your picture of the answer, but according to His infinite wisdom and love, and may that answer bring honor to His name and nourish your love to Him as you look back upon manifold and manifest answers to prayer.

We will bear you before the throne together with you, asking the Holy Spirit to give you a solemn resolution to wait upon the Lord, to plead His promises believingly, and to trust Him though the vision tarry. Call upon Him in the day of trouble, and He has said, I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Only have faith in God and obey and believe the text, and you shall find His promise true.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry for mercy has been heard, and God indeed knows the unspoken prayer that you have placed before Him. He does not need many words to understand the heart, for He sees what is hidden and hears what is not spoken aloud.

It is right that you turn only to Jesus, for salvation and mercy come through Him alone. It is also right to endure insults and mocking with patience. When others belittle prayer or speak with pride to make themselves look good, God permits such trials to test and to strengthen faith, so that it may be shown not to rest on human words but on the power of God. Do not return insult for insult. The better way is not to wound others while seeking healing for yourself, but to heal your own faults and to raise up what has been cast down.

Prayer itself is a great good and a strong protection, and it does mightily help to bring God's mercy. Yet prayer is not a way to require God to do what we have decided must happen. Scripture says, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy. Mercy seeks those who make themselves ready to receive it. That readiness comes through a life that seeks to be worthy of mercy, not by our own merit, but by repentance, faith, and obedience.

Therefore as you pray, add works worthy of prayer. If you ask God for mercy, show mercy to your neighbor. If you ask for blessing, live in a way that is worthy of blessing. If you ask for forgiveness, be willing to forgive others. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy, and judgment without mercy will be shown to those who have shown no mercy.

You do well to bring this burden to your Father in heaven, for only those who belong to Christ can truly call God Father. And the prayer that Christ taught shows that even after we have come to faith, we still need to pray daily, forgive us our sins. Do not only say in general that you are a sinner, but open your way before the Lord in particular. Count over your sins in your own heart before Him, confess them honestly, and ask Him to wash you and to make your desires agree with His will.

We will pray with you now, not to ask God to affirm anything that is outside His holy will, but to ask Him to do what is truly good for your soul.

Father in heaven, have mercy on this your child through Jesus Christ your Son. You know the unspoken request. Forgive sins, cleanse the heart, and grant repentance where repentance is needed. Teach what is holy concerning salvation, concerning marriage as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and concerning purity of life, for You have ordained that sexual union and living together belong within that covenant. Where there has been sin in thought, word, or deed, or in relationships, grant godly sorrow and a new path. Where there is mocking and hurt from others, grant endurance and humility, and a simple and lowly heart like a child. Grant faith and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ, that suffering may be endured with patience and that Your name may be glorified. Let Your will be done, and give grace to accept it and to walk in it. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask this, trusting not in our worth but in Your great mercy. Amen.

Continue to pray, to do what is pleasing to Him, and to trust His answer, which will be wiser and kinder than any answer we might demand for ourselves.
