PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We hear your heart and we stand with you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ, and we thank you for calling upon His name alone for mercy and for help, for there is power in that name alone.

We understand your desire to keep this as an unspoken request after experiencing hurt from those who mocked and insulted your prayer, even comparing it to Moses parting the Red Sea to belittle it. We want to encourage you that God truly does know the unspoken prayer and the deep need behind it, even when you do not share the details with us. His Word tells us that the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered in Romans 8:26, and that He who searches the hearts knows what is on the mind of the Spirit in Romans 8:27. We take comfort that man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart in 1 Samuel 16:7, and that before a word is on our tongue, He knows it completely as shown in Psalm 139:4.

We also hear your faith as you declare that you must believe your prayer has already been answered. This is pleasing to God, for Jesus said Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them in Mark 11:24. We join our faith with yours, asking according to His will, knowing this is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us in 1 John 5:14. We pray that your faith would not waver, remembering that he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed in James 1:6, so we ask God to strengthen your trust that nothing is impossible with Him, for with God all things are possible in Matthew 19:26 and nothing spoken by God is impossible in Luke 1:37. The same God who parted the Red Sea for Moses still works miracles today, and no mocking can diminish His power.

Regarding those malicious elements you perceived who insulted your prayer to make themselves look good and seek self praise, we gently encourage you to release them to the Lord and not harbor bitterness. We are called to bless those who persecute us and not curse in Romans 12:14, and to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you in Matthew 5:44. We must not return evil for evil in Romans 12:17, for vengeance belongs to the Lord in Romans 12:19. Their mocking does not invalidate your sincere cry to Jesus, and we pray God would convict any who speak with pride or self exaltation, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble in James 4:6.

We also encourage you in your decision to bring this as an unspoken prayer before God in secret. Jesus taught But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly in Matthew 6:6. Your Father sees in secret and will reward you as you continue to seek Him.

We now pray together for you.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the unspoken request that weighs so heavily on this heart, every detail, every fear, every hope. We ask for Your mercy and Your perfect will to be done. We pray that You would answer this prayer according to Your wisdom and love, and grant peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:7. Father, heal the wound caused by mocking and insults, and help our dear friend to forgive those who have belittled this prayer, just as You have forgiven us. Strengthen faith to continue believing without doubting, and let Your presence be felt as near to the brokenhearted in Psalm 34:18. Lord, silence the voice of the mocker and let Your truth prevail, and let this life be a testimony that You still hear and answer prayer. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and mediator, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you in 1 Peter 5:7, and to remain steadfast in prayer, trusting that He who promised is faithful.

We hear how much you wanted to bring this honestly to Jesus, and how painful it felt when others mocked it. It makes sense that being made fun of, especially when your prayer was compared to something like Moses at the sea, would leave you feeling exposed and wanting to keep this between you and the Lord from now on.

We want you to know we are honoring your prayer exactly as you asked it, to Jesus alone. He does know what is on your heart even when it stays unspoken, and you do not have to defend or explain it to anyone else to be heard by Him. You can keep it quietly with Him for as long as you need.

One gentle thought that may help in this sensitive time is to let the prayer remain unspoken with people, but spoken freely with Jesus in private. If it helps, you could write it down just for Him and keep it in a safe place, not to share, but so you have a quiet way to return to Him when the hurt from those comments comes up again. And please know we are standing with you in prayer without needing any details.

Father, we lift this friend to You right now. You see this unspoken request and the hurt that came with it. Cover them with Your presence and peace, guard their heart from discouragement, and help them to rest in knowing You hear them. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your unspoken cry is not hidden from the Lord, though you feel forced to hide it from men. To be mocked for trusting God is no strange thing. From of old faith has been counted folly by weak minds, and those who trust in God have been made a spectacle. Sometimes the mocker scoffs at faith itself, sometimes at one particular believer, saying, he pretends to this faith to win favor, and sometimes the scoff comes from those nearest to us. You have felt the venom of cruel mockings, jesting and jeering, even the comparison of your hope to Moses at the Red Sea turned into a taunt. Yet remember, by faith the Red Sea was dried up, and by faith still God makes a way where there is no way. Men scoff at the very idea of Divine interposition, but the Lord still hears and still delivers according to His wisdom.

Take up the shield of faith, for it must bear the blows. The fiery darts of the wicked, whether they come from Satan, from wicked men, or from our own fearful hearts, are quenched by that shield. Above all, take the shield of faith, for this is the victory that overcomes the world. Persecution, even when it takes no harsher form than slander and spite, has its use. It keeps the church separate from the world, and it often drives the Christian nearer to his God. How many prayers have been offered as the result of such mockery that would never have been offered else.

You write, I must believe my prayer has already been answered. Hear a gentle word on this. Faith does indeed trust God to perfect that which concerneth us, and cries, The Lord will perfect even this. But faith must be kept from presumption on the one hand and despair on the other. There is a prayer full of confession which says, Forsake not the works of thine own hands. Forsake me not in the day of my repentance, lest I fall into despair, and forsake me not in the day of my strongest faith, lest my faith degenerate into presumption. True prayer does not demand of God that He sign our terms, but pleads with humility like Jacob, spreading the case before Him, pleading His promises, and leaving the answer with Him. His prayer was answered, but not in the way he expected. So go and plead, and the Lord do unto you according to your faith, yet always according to His perfect will.

If your faith feels little and trembling, little faith may still betake itself to prayer. Peter began to sink and he prayed, Lord, save me. The Holy Spirit is the Creator not of the littleness of our faith but of our faith, be it ever so little. Christ can spy out faith when like a lone spark it is all but smothered under a heap of rubbish, and He forgives the unbelief while He graciously accepts the faith. Therefore draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having your heart sprinkled from an evil conscience.

God knows the unspoken request you carry. You need not make it known to men to make it known to Him. Bring it to Him in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved, and let repentance and faith go together, for they are twins born at once in the soul. Ask Him first to search your heart, to forgive sin through the blood of Christ, to conform your desires to His holy design, in which marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all intimacy belongs within it, and to grant what is good for your soul. If what you ask is according to His will and for His glory, He will give it. If not, He will give you grace to bear the denial and to see His better answer.

May the Lord perfect that which concerneth you, keep you from the fear of man, teach you to pray without ceasing though men mock, and give you that faith which rests not in a presumed answer but in the living Christ who never forsakes the work of His own hands.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
