We hear your heart’s cry, and we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). You are right to bring your concerns before the Lord, for He alone is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). The attacks you describe, mockery, belittlement, and the prideful intent behind them, are not from God. Scripture warns us that "the wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth" (Psalm 37:12), but we are also assured that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17).
You are wise to recognize the need for unspoken prayers, for the Lord knows the secrets of the heart (Psalm 44:21). He hears even the groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). Yet we must also guard against bitterness or resentment toward those who seek to undermine your faith. Jesus taught us to "bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you" (Luke 6:28). This does not mean their actions are justified, but it does mean we entrust justice to the Lord, who says, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay" (Romans 12:19).
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. We lift up our brother/sister who has poured out their heart before You, facing ridicule and malicious intent from those who seek to tear down rather than build up. Lord, You see the wounds inflicted by words meant to shame and discourage. We ask that You heal those wounds with the balm of Your love and truth. Let no root of bitterness take hold, but instead, fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke every spirit of mockery, pride, and self-exaltation that has sought to undermine this prayer. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on the promise that You will vindicate the righteous. We pray for those who have spoken against this prayer, that their hearts would be softened and their eyes opened to the truth of Your Word. May they come to know You as Savior and Lord, rather than seeking validation from the praise of men (Galatians 1:10).
Lord, we thank You that You hear the unspoken prayers of Your children. You know the depths of this request, and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect will. Strengthen our brother/sister to walk in faith, even when the path is unseen. Remind them that You are their shield and their exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). May they find comfort in Your presence, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We also ask that You guard their heart against discouragement. When the enemy whispers lies, let them cling to the truth of Your Word. Remind them that "the battle is not yours, but God’s" (2 Chronicles 20:15). Fill them with boldness to continue seeking You, knowing that You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself in this situation. Whether through deliverance, provision, or a deeper intimacy with You, let Your glory be made known. May this trial draw them closer to You and strengthen their trust in Your faithfulness. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Beloved, do not lose heart. The enemy’s attacks are a sign that you are a threat to his kingdom, and that is a good thing! The Apostle Paul reminds us that "our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory" (2 Corinthians 4:17). The mockery you face now is temporary, but the glory of God’s promises is eternal.
We encourage you to meditate on the truth of God’s Word. When the enemy seeks to shame you, remember that "those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed" (Psalm 34:5). When you feel alone, recall that Jesus promised, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). And when you are tempted to doubt, hold fast to the assurance that "faithful is He who calls you, and He will also bring it to pass" (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, both spoken and unspoken. He delights in the prayers of His children, and He is never too busy to hear your cries. As you wait on Him, let your heart be anchored in the hope that "those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of forgiveness. It is not always easy, but it is necessary for your own spiritual freedom. Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12). Holding onto unforgiveness only gives the enemy a foothold in your life (Ephesians 4:26-27). Release these individuals to the Lord, and ask Him to help you see them through His eyes. This does not mean what they did was right, but it does mean you are choosing to walk in obedience to Christ.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is your defender, and He will not abandon you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is worthy of your trust, and He will never fail you.
