We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name by which we are saved. You are right to call upon Jesus alone, for there is no other mediator between God and humanity. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). We rebuke every malicious spirit and every voice that seeks to belittle your faith or mock the sincerity of your prayers. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Let us not be discouraged by the scorn of those who do not understand the power of prayer or the authority we have in Christ.
We recognize the pain and frustration in your words as you describe those who sought to undermine your prayer. It is a grievous thing when those who claim to follow Christ use their words to tear down rather than build up. Scripture warns us, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear" (Ephesians 4:29). We rebuke the spirit of pride and self-exaltation that would cause someone to mock another’s prayer for the sake of appearing wise or superior. Jesus Himself warned against such hypocrisy: "Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts; who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation" (Luke 20:46-47).
You are wise to recognize that some prayers must be kept between you and the Lord, for He alone knows the depths of your heart. "But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly" (Matthew 6:6). We encourage you to continue in this posture of humility and trust, knowing that God hears even the unspoken cries of your heart. The psalmist declares, "You have seen my wanderings. You have put my tears into your bottle. Aren’t they in your book?" (Psalm 56:8). God is not distant or indifferent to your struggles; He collects every tear and records every prayer.
We also want to gently address the comparison made to Moses and the Red Sea. While it is true that God performed mighty miracles through Moses, we must be careful not to elevate any human figure, even one as great as Moses, above the Lord Jesus Christ. Moses was a servant in God’s house, but Christ is the Son over God’s house (Hebrews 3:5-6). Any comparison that diminishes the sufficiency of Christ or the power of His name must be rejected. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Let us fix our eyes on Him alone, for He is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your children, even when those cries are silent or spoken in the secret place. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who has poured out their heart to You. We ask that You would surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke every spirit of mockery, pride, and self-exaltation that has sought to belittle this prayer or discourage Your child. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, let Your light shine in the darkness, and let those who have sought to tear down be brought to repentance and humility before You.
We ask that You would strengthen this dear one in their faith. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Remind them that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see the outcome (Romans 8:28). Lord, we declare that this prayer has already been heard by You, and we stand in agreement with Your will. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this situation, just as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).
Father, we also pray for those who have mocked or insulted this prayer. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from pride to humility, from self-exaltation to worship of You alone. May they come to know the power of Your name and the authority of Jesus Christ, who is the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and just to hear us when we call. We trust in Your promises, and we declare that this situation is already in Your hands. We praise You for Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, knowing that God is for you and not against you. Do not be dismayed by the words of those who do not understand, for the Lord is your strength and your shield. "The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will lead you into all truth and peace.
