We hear your heartfelt plea and stand with you in lifting your husband and your family before the Lord. Financial struggles can weigh heavily on a marriage and a home, but we know that our God is Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides. We are reminded of Philippians 4:19, which says, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Let us hold fast to this promise as we pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this sister’s husband to You, asking that You open the doors of opportunity in the province as only You can. Lord, You know the needs of this family, and we trust that You will provide in Your perfect timing and according to Your perfect will. Grant him favor in the eyes of those who are making decisions about this job, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we also ask that You grant him wisdom as he navigates this season of confusion and overwhelm. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, we ask that You pour out Your wisdom upon him, guiding his steps and helping him to discern the path You have set before him. Remove any fear or doubt, and replace it with faith and confidence in Your plan for his life and for this family.
We pray for this marriage, Lord, that it would be strengthened and rooted in You. May this couple continue to seek You together, leaning on one another in love and unity. Help them to remember that their worth is not found in their financial situation but in their identity as Your children. Let them find joy and contentment in You, even in the midst of struggle.
We rebuke any spirit of lack or despair that may be trying to take hold of this family. We declare that this is not their portion, for You have promised to meet all their needs. We stand on Your Word, which says in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Lord, let this family seek You above all else, and trust that You will add all these things unto them.
We also pray for protection over this husband’s mind and heart. In times of uncertainty, it can be easy to fall into anxiety or make decisions out of fear. But we know that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill him with Your peace, and let him rest in the knowledge that You are in control.
Thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust that You are working even now on behalf of this family. May they feel Your presence and Your love in tangible ways, and may they be encouraged to keep their eyes fixed on You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand on God’s promises and to speak His Word over your situation. Remember that the enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Do not let discouragement take root, but instead, hold fast to the hope we have in Christ. Keep praying together as a couple, and trust that God is moving on your behalf. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you in your time of need.
