Dear Heavenly Father,
You have blessed me all of my life. You knit me together in my mother’s womb and You know my every need.
Lord, I desperately want to put the talents You have given me to work to help improve the lives and livelihoods of others. I believe I could do just that in the position that I interviewed for. If it be in keeping with Your perfect will, and if acquiring this position would be in BOTH my best interests and in the best interests of the employer — I pray that You will grant me the gift of this position. If I am chosen for this job, I will know that the offer came directly from You and that it is what I am meant to do for the rest of my life; because all good gifts come from You. If I am not chosen for this position, Lord, I pray for the success of the person you place in the job and ask that You bless the employer, the recipient, and the business. And if that is the case, I will trust that you have something even better in mind for me — something so perfect — something that would be so fulfilling — that I can’t even imagine it; and I will be content to wait for that.
