Please God return our lost pet

Thuarpeldor

Disciple of Prayer
I pray to find our lost pet bird. God gave me many chances to be kind and patient with the people and animals I love, and I keep missing them. I ask God for one more chance, please.

We hear the ache in your heart over your lost bird and we join you in bringing this before the Lord together. We know how precious the animals entrusted to our care are, and how heavy it feels when one is lost, especially when you are also carrying regret over missed opportunities to show kindness and patience.

We take comfort that our Father sees and cares for every creature He has made. Jesus said, Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father. Matthew 10:29. And again, Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria? Not one of them is forgotten by God. Luke 12:6. He knows where your little bird is, and He knows the love you have for it. Scripture also reminds us of our responsibility and privilege to care for them, for A righteous man respects the life of his animal Proverbs 12:10. Your desire for one more chance to be kind and patient is pleasing to God, because that desire itself reflects His work in your heart.

We also hear your sorrow over the chances you feel you have missed with people and animals you love. We all fall short in this way, and we want to encourage you that God's mercy does not run out. It is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. The Lord is good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you. Psalm 86:5. He does not give us just one more chance, He gives us new mercies each day to grow in the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23. We pray that even in this painful waiting, He will help you walk in greater patience and kindness going forward, relying on His strength and not your own.

We noticed your prayer was addressed to God, and we want to gently share why we always pray in the name of Jesus. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And scripture teaches There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we have access to God and assurance that He hears us. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to call upon Jesus today, believing He is Lord and Savior, and He will forgive you and bring you into His family.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this beloved bird to You and ask that in Your mercy You would keep it safe from harm, guide it, and if it is Your will, return it safely home. You see every sparrow, You know its needs, and we ask You to watch over this small life. We also lift up our friend who is grieving and feeling regret. Lord, pour out Your comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. Forgive where there has been impatience or unkindness, and wash them clean by the blood of Jesus. Renew their heart and fill them with Your Spirit so that patience and kindness would overflow to family, friends, and all Your creatures. Help them to trust Your goodness whether the answer is to bring the bird back or to give strength to bear the loss. Show them Your loving kindness is new every morning and that Your will is perfect and good. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord while you also diligently search, let neighbors know, and do what you can, trusting the outcome to Him. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6. He hears you, He loves you, and He is working even now to make you more like Christ in patience and love.

We noticed your prayer right away and we have been holding it before the Lord with you. A lost pet leaves such a tender absence, and it makes sense that you feel the weight of it so deeply. Birds become part of the daily rhythm of a home, and missing that presence is a real loss.

We also hear the regret you carry about chances to be more patient and kind. It is painful to look back and wish you had done more. Please be gentle with yourself as you carry both the worry for your bird and that sense of regret. Wanting one more chance shows how much love you have for those entrusted to you, and God sees that heart.

If you have not already, it may help to let a few nearby neighbors, a local shelter or veterinarian know your bird is missing, with a clear description and where it was last seen, while you continue to pray. And it helps to share this waiting and sorrow with one trusted person who can walk with you day by day.

Father, we lift them and this little bird to You. You know where the bird is and You know the ache of this waiting. Bring comfort, calm the self blame, and guide each next step with Your kindness. Give peace in Your will and help this heart to rest in Your mercy and to grow in patience and love. In Jesus' name, amen.

LORD, Thank You that You corrected the anger of Jonah with reality, comparing Your compassion with the mis-directed lack of compassion...

Jonah 4:9-11
"Then God asked Jonah, “Have you any right to be angry about the plant?”

“I do,” he replied. “I am angry enough to die!”

10 But the LORD said, “You cared about the plant, which you neither tended nor made grow. It sprang up in a night and perished in a night. 11 So should I not care about the great city of Nineveh, which has more than 120,000 people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many animals as well?”

Thank you for people and pets, for the life of coral and fish, the beautiful world You created, Gen 1:1-Gen 2:25... We do miss our friends, fellowship and pets -- we thank You for the hope of "things which eye has not seen not ear heard nor entered into the comprehension of humanity the things You have prepared for those who love You," 1 Cor 2:9.

We do pray for peace between our countries (I am actually from the states) and ask You let Christians transcend borders and demonstrate Your love and testify for Jesus to the World,

John 13:35
"By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”

John 17:21
"I pray that they will all be one, just as You and I are one—as You are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us so that the world will believe You sent Me."

Proverbs 12:10
"A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are only cruelty."

Your prayer concerning your lost little bird has been heard with tender sympathy, and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace.

The Lord knows the sorrows that seem small to others but are great to the heart that loves. Not a sparrow falls to the ground without your Father, and He who makes a hedge about His people and about all that He has entrusted to them sees also the creature that has flown from you. We pray that if it be His gracious will, He who hides His own for safety would guide and guard this bird and return it to your care. We ask Him to give you peace whether He restores it to your hand or in His wisdom withholds that mercy, for His judgments are right and His love does not fail.

You have spoken honestly before God, confessing that you have missed many chances to be kind and patient with those you love, both people and animals. This honest confession is itself a work of grace. The law shows us our sin and our shortcoming, but grace does much more abound. Salvation is of the Lord from first to last, all of grace from base to summit. God does not ask you to believe in His love without proof, for He has given abundant proof in the gift of His Son, who was manifested to take away our sins. If you feel your need of patience and kindness, He will give grace to those who confess their need. He gives not trinkets but solid gold, and His grace is received through grace and understood by grace. When we are emptied of self and trust simply at the foot of the cross, saying Jesus, I trust You to save me, we find that He has borne our sin and was punished for it.

We pray now for you, that the Lord would grant you this one more chance you seek, and far more, that He would make you a vessel of His grace. May He soften your heart and make you loyal to Christ, so that out of love for Him you may walk in kindness and patience. May He guide you by His Word and by His Spirit, dethroning self and enthroning Christ in your heart. Seek Him first for the forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved, and then ask Him to teach you to love as you have been loved.

We entreat the Lord to comfort you in this waiting, to help you to yield to His superior judgment, and to grant you grace for this trial and glory hereafter. May He give you grace to be faithful in little things and to reflect His tender mercies to every living creature under your care.

We commend you and your petition to our gracious God, who will give grace and glory and will withhold no good thing from them that walk uprightly.
