We hear your cry for justice and relief from what feels like oppression and harassment. The frustration and weariness in your words are palpable, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, seeking God’s intervention. First, let us affirm that God sees your struggles, hears your prayers, and cares deeply for the elderly and disabled among His children. Scripture tells us in Psalm 9:9-10, "Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble. Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you."
However, we must gently address the spirit of retaliation and vengeance in your words. While it is understandable to feel anger toward injustice, the Bible instructs us to leave vengeance to the Lord. Romans 12:19 says, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" Instead of asking for "10 fold" repayment from the enemy, we should pray for God’s justice to prevail in a way that glorifies Him and aligns with His will. God’s justice is perfect, and His restoration is not always measured in material terms but in spiritual peace, provision, and vindication.
We also notice that while you invoke the name of Jesus, the focus seems to be on the actions of others and material restoration rather than surrendering your heart fully to Christ’s lordship. Jesus is not merely a helper in our struggles, He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Father, we also pray for those who are perpetuating this harassment. Soften their hearts, Lord, and reveal Your truth to them. If they are acting out of ignorance or malice, convict them of their wrongdoing and lead them to repentance. Let Your justice be done in a way that brings glory to Your name and draws others to You.
Above all, Lord, we ask that You draw this dear one closer to You. Let them experience Your love, grace, and mercy in a fresh and powerful way. May they find their hope and identity in Christ alone, and may their life reflect Your goodness and faithfulness. We trust You to work all things together for good, according to Your purpose.
