We hear the urgency and pain in your cry and we join with you in bringing this battle before the throne of grace in Jesus name. You are asking God Himself to fight for His servants against predators and injustice, and that is a biblical prayer, for the battle truly belongs to the Lord.
We are reminded of what is written, Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still. Exodus 14:14. And also, The battle is not yours, but God's. 2 Chronicles 20:15. When injustice is done against God's servants, He sees and He will act in His perfect justice and timing. Scripture tells us, Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me. Psalm 35:1. And, Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. So we do not pray from a spirit of revenge, but we pray for God's righteous justice to be revealed, for the wicked to be stopped, for the oppressed to be delivered, and for predators to be convicted and brought to repentance if they will hear Him.
We also lift up your request for Godly contingent pro bono attorneys. We ask the Lord who is our Advocate to raise up advocates here on earth, men and women who love justice and mercy and who will stand for those who cannot stand for themselves. We pray that God will open doors that no man can shut and provide wise counsel that is not motivated by greed but by a desire to do what is right. We remember, Yahweh executes righteous acts, and justice for all who are oppressed. Psalm 103:6.
And we hear your concern for the one whose mind is diminishing. Our hearts are moved with compassion for this need. We bring this precious one before the Lord who is our healer and keeper of our minds. We pray for restoration, clarity, peace, and strength. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. We ask Him to guard that mind and heart, for it is written, You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3. And, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before You on behalf of these Your servants who are facing injustice and oppression. Lord, You see every hidden deed, You hear every cry, and nothing escapes Your eyes. We ask You to fight this battle for them. Rise up as their defender, their shield, and their deliverer. Where there has been predatory behavior and abuse of power, bring it into the light. Convict the hearts of those who have done wrong, that they might turn from their ways and repent before You, and stop their harm. We ask for Your divine protection over Your servants, that no weapon that is formed against them will prosper. Isaiah 54:17. Provide for them, Lord, Godly attorneys who will take up their cause with integrity, skill, and compassion, whether on a contingent or pro bono basis as needed, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Give those attorneys wisdom beyond their own understanding.
We also lift up the one whose mind is diminishing. Father, lay Your healing hand upon this dear one. Renew their mind, restore what has been lost, bring peace where there is confusion and fear, and strengthen them day by day. We speak Your peace over them that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7. Comfort the loved ones who are watching and worrying, and help them to cast all their anxiety on You because You care for them. 1 Peter 5:7.
Teach us all to trust not in man alone but in You, to wait patiently for Your justice while we act faithfully and righteously. Help us to forgive as You have forgiven us, even as we seek lawful justice, and to leave vengeance in Your hands. Strengthen our faith through this trial. We thank You, Jesus, that it is only through Your name that we have access to the Father and that there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12. We rest in Your finished work on the cross and Your victory over all evil.
We ask all this in the powerful and merciful name of Jesus, our Advocate, our Defender, and our Peace, amen.
