We join you in prayer and we hear the depth of what you are carrying, and we thank you for sharing so honestly about the difference between pain and weakness. We understand what you are saying, that pain tolerance does not mean you are fine, and that quietly enduring does not mean you are not suffering. Others may look at you sitting calmly and think you are not in distress, but God sees what is happening inside your body and He knows the war you have been fighting with such rare cancers, with the tumor that blocked your airway, with herniated discs, and now with the profound weakness that makes even bathing and climbing stairs require days of saving energy and waiting for your legs to respond. Man looks at outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart, and He knows your heart even when your mind is extremely tired and feels like it is jumping all over the place.

We are encouraged by your perseverance and the way you have used the talents God gave you to keep advocating for yourself, even finding that hidden rule to reopen your case when you were told it had been too long. God honors diligence and He sees every step you have taken while moving and working for years with such injury because your body was strong, and now He sees the cost you pay when your body is weak and every activity must be measured and can cost days or weeks or months of rest. His word gives us comfort for this very place of weakness.

He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29

He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

We pray together for you now in Jesus name.

Father, we lift up our dear one to You and we ask that You let those who are reviewing the case truly understand the difference between pain and weakness, that You would open their eyes to see the medical evidence, the doctor notes, the history of the large tumor and the two very rare thyroid cancers, and the exhaustion of living in a body that must ration every bit of energy. We ask for favor and for clear understanding, that if it is Your will, You would grant approval and that You would provide back pay from the time disability first began, so that there may be provision for stable housing. Lord, You know the burden of being homeless and hearing that the living room is not a bedroom and to hurry up and get out, with nowhere to go. We ask You to soften the heart of the brother in law, to give grace and patience in that household, and to make a way where there seems to be no way for safe and stable housing. We ask You to be refuge and provider.

Father, we pray for healing and sustaining strength over this body. We pray for restoration where it is possible, for mercy in the ongoing effects of cancer and disc disease, for legs to be strengthened and for energy to be renewed day by day. When the mind is tired and scattered, we ask for Your peace to guard heart and mind, and we thank You that You know the heart even when words and thoughts feel jumbled. We pray for rest, for the ability to bathe safely, to sleep, to be refreshed, and to not be overwhelmed by the exhaustion of measuring every activity.

We thank You for the endurance You have already given, to quietly endure so much without complaining, and we ask that You would now let Your power rest upon this weakness. Teach us all that Your grace is sufficient and that You are close to those who are weary. Lead this dear one step by step, provide wise help and advocates, connect to caring believers and resources nearby who can help with housing and daily needs, and let Your will be done in the timing of this case. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You.

We commit this all into Your hands, asking for understanding, provision, strength, and peace, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We were moved by how clearly you explained what you are living with. You are not saying pain is the problem, weakness is, and the price you pay for even simple things like bathing or climbing stairs. It makes sense that you feel exhausted having to measure every bit of energy and wait for your legs to cooperate, and that your mind feels tired and scattered from carrying this so long.

We also hear how heavy the housing situation feels, hearing that your stay in the living room is temporary while you have nowhere else to go, and how much you have already fought to keep your disability case alive by finding that rule and persisting when you were told no. That took real perseverance and use of the gifts God gave you.

One thing that may help those reviewing your case and caring for you understand better is a simple daily note, just a few lines about what you tried to do, what it cost you in rest afterward, and what help you needed. It can make the invisible cost of weakness more visible to doctors and to those deciding your benefits. If you have not already, a trusted clinic, social worker, or local disability advocate or legal aid office may be able to walk with you on both the medical and housing questions, alongside prayer.

Father, we lift the one who wrote this to you in Jesus name. You know their heart, their weakness and their need for a safe place to rest. Give them clear understanding with those deciding the case, daily strength and wisdom for each step, and kind help nearby. Grant them peace tonight and hope for the days ahead. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and read with much care and sorrow, and we have marked well what you have labored to make plain, that it is not pain that stops you but weakness, that you have learned to endure pain quietly while your body has waged war within. Though you sat relaxed as if nothing were happening, with a great tumor upon your neck blocking your airway and with test results in hand, you were in deep distress while others wrote not in distress, and the Lord saw it. He sees also the two rare thyroid cancers, the herniated discs borne through years of hard work as a mover when your body was strong enough to push beyond pain, and now this present weakness that makes you measure every activity, that allows a bath only once a week for fear of the stairs, that requires you to save energy from day to day and to wait for your legs to behave. We understand how exhausting such measuring is, and how tired your mind has become as it jumps from place to place, yet He who knows the heart knows yours even when words fail or thoughts scatter.

Scripture says, out of weakness were made strong. There is a weakness which is not sinful but is incident to our frail humanity and appointed by God, and there is a precious promise that He delights to make strength out of such weakness. Our natural strength is often toned down by spiritual weakness, and our natural weakness is exalted to become the channel for spiritual strength. David felt his weakness most keenly when set in a new and trying position, and so it is with you now, homeless and dwelling in a living room that is not a bedroom, hearing that your stay is temporary and that you must hurry to get out, with nowhere to go. In such a place we learn how great our weakness is, and there also we learn the value of prayer, to cast ourselves upon Him who is not far from any one of us.

We will pray for you. We will ask the Lord to grant understanding to the one whose understanding you seek, that he may see that quiet endurance is not a sign that you are well, and that a high tolerance for pain does not mean you do not suffer. We will ask our heavenly Father to provide for you in your homelessness, to give you a safe and stable place to dwell, and to show mercy in the matter of your disability case, the back pay from the time you first became disabled and the work credits you labored with God given talent to restore through a hidden rule when you were told it was too late. We will ask Him to give you wisdom, favor and patient endurance as you wait, to sustain your body and to quiet and guard your mind when it is extremely tired, and above all to keep you near to Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other name, and it is through Him alone that we have forgiveness, hope and strength for each day.

May the Lord turn your eyes to Himself, keep you in His tender care, supply your needs according to His perfect wisdom, and fulfill His promise to make you strong out of weakness for His glory. We commend you to Him and will continue to pray for you in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.

May the Lord grant her understanding, strength for each day, and swift approval for her disability case, providing the home and rest she desperately needs in Jesus' name.
