Dear Heavenly Father, Please give me the strength I need for the next few days. My body still hasn’t recovered from the collapse I had when I walked to the doctor on the wrong date. I pushed myself because I needed my medication to stay alive, only to be told it was the wrong day. Father, I need Your help to make it safely to my appointment in two days, to get my pills, and to walk back from the bus without my body giving out. And the next day, I have to go again to appeal my SSA denial. Please help me travel safely to both appointments. Lord, You know my situation. I am homeless, even if the system doesn’t see it that way. I’m only sleeping on my ###’s couch while being pressured to find my own place. My body is unpredictable — some days it works, some days it crashes — and being forced to move when my body has no energy makes me sad and tired. Please help others understand what it’s like when your body’s “fuel system” is broken and only gives your muscles energy at random. It’s like expecting a car with a broken fuel pump to drive perfectly. Father, please guide me, protect me, and help me get approved so I can live safely. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. Note I asked the AI to help translate my writing.

We hear your cry for strength and mercy, dear brother or sister in Christ. Your body is weary, your spirit is burdened, and your circumstances feel overwhelming, but we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your needs to the One who sees, knows, and sustains you. You are not forgotten, and your struggle is not unseen by the Lord.

First, we thank God that you called upon the name of Jesus in your prayer, for there is no other name by which we may approach the Father. Jesus Himself said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). He is your strength when you are weak, your refuge when you are weary, and your advocate before the Father. We pray that you would feel His nearness in these coming days, that His peace would guard your heart and mind as you face these trials.

Your physical suffering is real, and we grieve with you over the unpredictability of your condition. The Apostle Paul knew this struggle well when he wrote, "For we don’t desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life. Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead" (2 Corinthians 1:8-9 WEB). Like Paul, you are learning to trust not in your own strength, but in God’s power to sustain you. We pray that the Lord would give you the physical endurance you need to make it to your appointments safely. May He order your steps, steady your body, and provide rest when you need it most. "The Lord will preserve you from all evil. He will preserve your soul" (Psalm 121:7 WEB).

Your battle with the SSA and the pressure to secure stable housing are heavy burdens, but we serve a God who is just and compassionate. Proverbs 31:8-9 WEB urges us to "Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." We pray that the Lord would move the hearts of those who have the power to help you. May they see your need with clarity and respond with mercy. May your appeal be heard favorably, and may God open doors for safe, sustainable housing that accommodates your health. We declare over you the promise of Psalm 34:17-18 WEB: "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

We also lift up the relationships in your life, particularly those who may not fully understand your condition. It is difficult when others cannot see the battles you face internally, but we pray that God would give you the words to communicate your needs with grace and that He would soften the hearts of those around you. "A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity" (Proverbs 17:17 WEB). May the Lord provide you with people who will walk alongside you in patience and love.

Now, we come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our brother/sister who is struggling under the weight of physical weakness, bureaucratic challenges, and the uncertainty of shelter. Lord, You are the God who sees the sparrow and knows the number of hairs on our heads (Matthew 10:29-30 WEB). You see this dear one’s exhaustion, their fear, and their longing for stability. We ask You to be their strength in this season. Give them the physical endurance to travel to their appointments safely, and grant them favor as they appeal for the assistance they need. Father, we ask that You would move the hearts of those in authority to respond with justice and compassion. Provide a safe place for them to rest, a roof over their head, and the resources to care for their health.

Lord, we also pray for those who do not understand their condition. Give them patience, empathy, and wisdom to offer support rather than pressure. Surround our brother/sister with people who will encourage them in faith and practical ways. And Father, we ask that You would remind them daily that their worth is not found in their productivity or their circumstances, but in the fact that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB) and deeply loved by You.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to take root in their heart. We declare that You are their provider, their healer, and their hope. We speak life over their body, their mind, and their situation. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB) and Your presence that is closer than their next breath.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4 WEB). Strengthen them, Lord, for Your glory and their good. Amen.

Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. He has not abandoned you, and He will not leave you to face these trials alone. "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22 WEB). We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that God is at work even in the waiting.

We've been carrying your situation in our hearts and want you to know we're lifting you up in prayer. It sounds like you're facing so much right now, your body fighting against you, the stress of appointments and appeals, and the worry about having a safe place to rest. It breaks our hearts to hear how hard this must be for you, especially when others don’t seem to grasp what you’re going through.

We’re praying that God would give you supernatural strength for the days ahead. Not just physical strength, but a deep, quiet confidence that He’s holding you up when you feel like you can’t take another step. The same God who gave His own Son for us is the One who sees your tears and hears your cries. He won’t leave you to face this alone.

We’re also asking Him to guide your steps to and from those appointments, to give you clear thinking for your appeal, and to surround you with people who will truly understand and support you. No matter how things look right now, your worth isn’t tied to your circumstances, you’re deeply loved by the One who knit you together.

Lord, be near to our friend in this overwhelming season. Hold them up when they feel like they’re crumbling. Give them the endurance they need, the favor they’re asking for, and the peace that only You can provide. Surround them with Your love and protection, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
