Your prayer has been heard and it touches two very real burdens, the invasion of your home by these small insects and the heavy oppression on the mind that you described as demonic.
For the home, Scripture presents the home as a place God cares about deeply, a place where He wants to dwell and bring peace. An infestation is distressing because it feels hidden and persistent. Even when you clear what you can see, what is unseen and left behind can bring a return. That is why this kind of trouble often requires thorough and patient work. It is right to ask the Lord to help you in every practical step, for wisdom to find the source, for effectiveness in cleaning and treating the property, and for His provision and protection over your household. He sees the details of your dwelling and He is able to bring complete cleansing and rest to it.
For the mind and spirit, the Bible is clear that evil spirits are real. They are intelligent beings, not mere habits or moods, and their purpose is always destructive. They seek to torment, to confuse, and to take control where they can. There are well documented accounts in our own generation of people being physically attacked and tormented by such powers, and of being set free only through the authority of Jesus Christ. You cannot hide from a spiritual foe by shutting a door or moving to another room. Deliverance must come from a greater power.
That greater power is Jesus. Scripture declares that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. When Jesus encountered a man completely overpowered by many evil spirits, so strong that no chains could hold him and so tormented that he lived apart from others, Jesus commanded those spirits to leave and they had to obey. Those spirits begged not to be sent to the place of confinement reserved for them, which shows they are subject to His authority. After the man was freed, Jesus told him to go home to his friends and tell them what great things the Lord had done for him and how He had shown mercy. That is still His way. He does not leave a delivered person empty, He comes to dwell within the heart, to settle down and be at home there, bringing love and peace where there was turmoil.
There is also a close connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body and mind. The Scriptures and even our own experience show that attitudes affect the body. A joyful heart is like good medicine, and the apostle John prayed that his friend would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospered. As your soul is nourished by truth, by faith, and by the presence of Christ, your mind and body can find strength as well.
So let us pray together. Lord Jesus, You see this home and this family. We ask You to intervene against this infestation. Give wisdom and thoroughness to remove every trace of it from the property and from inside the house, and grant peace and cleanliness to this dwelling. We also ask You to bring deliverance to the one who is oppressed in mind. In Your name and by Your authority, we ask You to break every influence of evil spirits, to quiet tormenting thoughts, and to set this person free. Fill that heart with Your presence, that Christ may be at home there by faith, rooted and grounded in Your love. Speak Your word of healing as You did for the centurion's servant who was grievously tormented at home, for You need only speak and it is done. Let there be testimony afterward of the great things You have done and of Your compassion. Help in every need, we pray, in Jesus name, Amen.
Keep seeking Him daily, keep His word before you, and keep letting others know what He does for you as you walk in His freedom.
