Beloved of All
What you have endured is grievous and evil, and God sees it fully for what it is. To be violated repeatedly is a deep wound to body, mind and soul, and the longing you express for accountability is right. God has made us with a sense of justice because He Himself is just, and He does not look lightly upon those who use power to harm others, especially in such predatory and repeated ways.
It is painful when human justice fails. In this world, courts and authorities that should provide fairness and protection often do not. Truth can seem to fall in the street and fairness cannot enter, and those who should be held to account are instead allowed to continue as if nothing happened. That breakdown is not new. Scripture shows even the most respected systems can be swayed by pressure, favoritism and the desire to please people rather than to do what is right, leaving the innocent without defense. Attorneys and judges themselves will sometimes admit that you cannot be assured of true justice in human courts. That reality is heartbreaking, and it is right to grieve it.
Yet God Himself is a God of righteousness and justice, and He wants justice to prevail. When human judgment is perverted, He remains the true judge. No one who does such evil truly gets away with it, even if for a time it appears there are no consequences and no remorse. The wrong may be hidden from others, but it is never hidden from Him, and His justice will be satisfied. The greatest miscarriage of justice in history was when Jesus, who had done no wrong, bore the penalty and judgment for sin in His own body, so that the righteous demands of justice could be met and sinners could be forgiven through Him. That same Jesus will also judge all evil with perfect impartiality. We can pray with confidence that God will not let this evil be ignored, that He will expose what is done in darkness, restrain further harm, and bring the one who harmed you and others to true accountability, whether through lawful authorities in this life or ultimately before God Himself.
I also pray for your healing, because Jesus came to bear our infirmities and our griefs. The prophet Isaiah spoke of Him bearing our sicknesses and sorrows, and the gospel shows Him healing every kind of sickness and brokenness. Healing takes many forms. Sometimes it comes in a moment, and you can feel it happen. Sometimes it is gradual, working through the natural processes God Himself created in our bodies and minds, and that gradual process is no less divine because God created those processes. And sometimes the deepest healing He does first is in the mind and emotions, healing the scars and wounds that such violation leaves behind. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some wounds lift quickly and others take a long time, but we can trust that God desires to heal you wholly and to restore what has been broken.
So I pray for you now that God would surround you with safety and protection, that He would stop this man from harming you or anyone else again, and that those with responsibility to protect and to enforce the law would take this seriously and act with courage and integrity. I pray that God would bring truth into the light and that justice would no longer stand far off but would be done. I pray that the Lord Jesus would draw near to you as the healer of your body, your mind and your heart, washing away shame that does not belong to you, calming fear, easing trauma, and bringing a gradual and deep restoration day by day. I pray that you would know you are not forgotten or alone, that God hears your cry, that He validates your pain, and that through Jesus you can find refuge, cleansing, and hope.
