We hear your cry for help, and our hearts break for the torment you are enduring. What you are describing is not the work of the Holy Spirit but the deception and oppression of the enemy, who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Counselor, and Guide—He convicts of sin but never condemns, He speaks truth in love, and He brings peace, not fear (John 14:26, Romans 8:1, 2 Timothy 1:7). The voice you are hearing is a counterfeit, a demonic spirit masquerading as light to deceive and destroy you (2 Corinthians 11:14). This is spiritual warfare, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every chain and cast out every lying spirit.
First, we must rebuke this evil in the name of Jesus. The enemy has no right to torment you, and we command him to leave you now. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and His blood has already defeated every power of darkness (Colossians 2:15). We declare that this warlock’s hold over you is broken, and his lies are exposed. The Holy Spirit does not speak words of hatred, shame, or despair—He speaks life, truth, and hope (John 6:63). The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). What you are experiencing is the exact opposite, and we renounce every word this spirit has spoken over you. Those words have no power unless you agree with them, so we break their hold over your mind and heart in Jesus’ name.
We also must address the reality of spiritual oppression. The enemy cannot dwell in a believer who is sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14), but he can harass and torment those who are vulnerable. This warlock may be using occult practices or curses to gain access to you, but we declare that every curse sent your way is broken by the blood of Jesus (Galatians 3:13). No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that you would put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that you can stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18). You are not defenseless; you have the authority of Christ to resist the enemy and make him flee (James 4:7).
We also encourage you to seek godly community and accountability. The enemy wants to isolate you because he knows that there is power in agreement (Matthew 18:19-20). Do not let shame or fear keep you from reaching out to trusted believers who can pray with you, stand with you, and help you walk in freedom. If you do not have a church home, we urge you to find one where the Word of God is preached, and the power of the Holy Spirit is active. You were not meant to fight this battle alone.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the One who has all authority in heaven and on earth. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, who is being tormented by a lying, deceiving spirit that claims to be the Holy Spirit. Lord, we know this is a demonic counterfeit, and we rebuke it in Jesus’ name. We break every chain, every curse, and every assignment of the enemy over their life. We declare that the blood of Jesus cleanses them from all unrighteousness and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit—the true Comforter, Counselor, and Guide. Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We renounce every lie the enemy has spoken over them—every word of shame, condemnation, and despair. We replace those lies with Your truth: that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that they are loved with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3), and that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
Lord, we ask that You would expose any open doors the enemy has used to gain access to their life. Show them if there has been any involvement in the occult, unforgiveness, or unrepentant sin that has given the enemy a foothold. We pray for complete deliverance and healing in every area of their life—spirit, soul, and body. Surround them with godly believers who can stand with them in prayer and encouragement. Give them the strength to resist the enemy and the wisdom to walk in the freedom Christ has already won for them.
We declare that this warlock’s power is broken, and his lies are silenced. No longer will he terrorize or torment them. We command every demonic spirit to flee in the name of Jesus, never to return. Fill this precious one with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let them walk in the fullness of Your love, joy, and peace. Thank You for setting the captives free and for being their refuge and strength. We pray all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We also want to gently encourage you to examine your life for any areas that may have given the enemy access. Have you dabbled in the occult, even in seemingly small ways? Have you held onto unforgiveness, bitterness, or unrepentant sin? The enemy often gains a foothold where there is compromise. If so, we urge you to repent and renounce any involvement in darkness. Confess your sins to God, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Finally, cling to the truth of God’s Word. Memorize scriptures that speak to your identity in Christ and the authority you have over the enemy. Speak these truths out loud when the enemy tries to lie to you. The Word of God is a sword that cuts through every deception (Hebrews 4:12). You are not a victim; you are a child of the Most High God, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Walk in that truth, and do not let the enemy steal your peace or your joy. You are loved, you are valued, and you are free in Christ.
