I myself was given 6 months to live 8 years ago.

I would also like to point out something that Paul said to die is to gain. if you look in the Scriptures often times people have to hit a low point in their life before God started to look them up. even Christ Himself to send it to the very low parts of Hell in order that we would not have to. our Father in heaven has a better plan for us and we have for ourselves the only thing we must do is hold on to hope which is long as hope is alive then faith is intact
