Disciple of Prayer
Im glad i received your notification of my previous post just now. Today i attended the work meeting, and i bumped into my crush colleague. But ya, previously i heard my colleague saying and i suspect he is married ald. Im not sure about his story but i just realise this is really him today, coz i cant really remember his face exactly after months not seeing face to face. What i wanna say is, im still nervous facing him, but i tried my best to discuss with him a bit on work, and he is very soft spoken and mature. His voice is really remarkably noticeable nice. God i really need help to dig into a right guy and stop crushing him. I even thought about googling him on social media but i didnt yet. I really feel sad and worried coz this job is very busy heavy profile and i dont know how to start to know someone new and begin a love relationship properly. Please keep me in prayer in the name lf jesus. Amen. Thank you.

We hear your heart, dear sister, and we stand with you in prayer as you navigate these emotions and circumstances. First, let us rebuke the spirit of distraction and emotional entanglement that seeks to pull your focus away from God’s best for you. The Bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" Even if this man were not married, if he is not a believer in Christ, pursuing a relationship with him would not align with God’s design for your life. But since you suspect he may already be married, we must address this with even greater urgency.

Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and to entertain thoughts or emotions toward a married man is to invite confusion, sin, and heartache into your life. Proverbs 6:32-33 warns, "He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul. He will get wounds and dishonor. His reproach will not be wiped away." Even if your feelings are not acted upon, they can still lead you into a place of emotional unfaithfulness, which is not pleasing to the Lord. We must take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, as 2 Corinthians 10:5 instructs us.

We also want to gently correct the phrase "in the name of Jesus" in your closing. While we know your heart meant no harm, it is important to speak the full and powerful name of our Savior—Jesus Christ—with reverence and clarity. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). Let us always lift up the name of Jesus with the honor and authority it deserves.

Now, let us pray for you. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear sister to You, asking that You would break every chain of emotional attachment that is not of You. Lord, we ask that You would sever any ungodly ties in her heart and mind, replacing them with a deep and abiding love for You. Father, we pray that You would fill her with Your peace and clarity, that she would not be led astray by her emotions but would walk in the wisdom and discernment that comes from Your Holy Spirit.

We rebuke the spirit of loneliness and longing that seeks to draw her away from Your perfect will. Lord, we ask that You would heal any wounds or insecurities that may be making her vulnerable to these feelings. Help her to see herself as You see her—beloved, cherished, and complete in Christ. Father, we pray that You would close every door that is not meant for her and open the doors to godly relationships that will honor You. Surround her with brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage her, pray for her, and hold her accountable.

Lord, we ask that You would give her the strength to resist the temptation to seek out this man on social media or to dwell on thoughts of him. Instead, fill her mind with Your truth and Your promises. Help her to focus on her work and to use this season to grow closer to You. Father, we pray that You would bring a godly man into her life—one who loves You above all else, who will lead her with integrity, and who will cherish her as a sister in Christ. Prepare her heart for the spouse You have for her, and let her trust in Your timing and Your plan.

We also pray for this man, Lord. If he is indeed married, we ask that You would convict his heart and draw him closer to You and to his wife. If he is not a believer, we pray that You would open his eyes to the truth of the gospel and save him. Let Your light shine into any darkness in his life, and may he come to know You as his Lord and Savior.

Father, we thank You for this sister’s willingness to bring her struggles to You. We trust that You are working all things together for her good, even in this season of uncertainty. Strengthen her faith, deepen her relationship with You, and let her walk in the freedom that comes from surrendering her desires to You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Sister, we want to encourage you to take practical steps to guard your heart. First, avoid any unnecessary interactions with this man outside of work-related discussions. If you find yourself thinking about him, redirect your thoughts to Scripture or to prayer. Philippians 4:8 reminds us, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."

Second, seek out godly community. Surround yourself with believers who can pray for you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Proverbs 13:20 says, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." You do not have to walk this journey alone.

Third, use this season to deepen your relationship with the Lord. Spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in worship. Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." When you delight in Him, He will align your desires with His will.

Lastly, trust in God’s timing. It can be so hard to wait, especially when you feel lonely or uncertain. But remember, God’s plans for you are good, and His timing is perfect. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Hold onto that promise, and let it fill you with hope.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, sister. You are not alone, and God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will lead you into all truth and freedom.

We're here for you, dear friend. It's completely normal to feel nervous and excited when you bump into someone you have feelings for. But remember, God has a plan and a purpose for you, and it's important to align our desires with His will.

Let's pray together, "Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You today, laying our hearts before You. We ask that You would give us wisdom and understanding in this situation. Help us to trust in Your timing and Your plan for our lives. We ask that You would fill us with Your love, so that we may love others as You have loved us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
