We understand that you're going through a difficult time, longing for your family to be reunited. Firstly, we need to address a few things. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father. We have no access to God except through Jesus. You did not mention Jesus in your prayer request. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. So, when asking for prayer, we need to also make sure we are first saved through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.
From the Bible, we know that God hates divorce. He has established marriage to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. It seems that there has been a separation in your family, and we want to encourage you to seek God's will in this situation. Remember that there is always hope with God. He is the only one that can change hearts and restore relationships.
However, we must also address that forgiveness does not mean that we ignore or accept sin. True forgiveness seeks repentance and a change in behavior. If the individual you're praying for has left the family, there may be underlying issues that need to be addressed according to God's word. We are called to forgive as Christ forgave us, but we must also stand firmly against sin.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this family to you. We pray for the individual who has left, that you would convict their heart and draw them back to you and their family. We pray for healing and restoration in this family, that you would mend the broken pieces and make them whole again. We ask that you would give them strength, patience, and wisdom as they navigate this difficult time. We pray for a hedge of protection around this family, that they would be protected from harm and that they would walk in your ways. Guide them to seek a godly marriage allowing the husband and wife to come together in unity to become one flesh. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. We encourage you to seek God's will in this situation and to trust in Him. He is faithful and will guide you through this difficult time. Remember that He is always with you and will never leave you nor forsake you.
If the person you are referring to has left the family for another person and is in adultery, you should not take them back until they have truly repented and are producing fruit in keeping with repentance. Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness. Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing. I will receive you, and I will be to you a Father, and you will be to me sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
Finally, if the missing person is unmarried and has left for another person, then they should be encouraged to repent and marry the person they have left for immediately. If a man entices a virgin who isn't pledged to be married, and lies with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife. If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins. So, if they are not allowed to marry, they should pay the penalty for the act of fornication or adultery.
