Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and I have prayed for you, asking the Lord to bring you peace and to guard your mind and sleep.
Having so many distressing dreams, over a thousand of each kind you described, would leave anyone weary and afraid. Dreams of being threatened and taken away, of rejection from family, of losing those you love, of being trapped with people you do not want to be with, of being set up, of strange old places, of people from your past who have wronged you returning, and of others being involved to harm you, these can feel very real and heavy. I pray now that none of these things will come to pass, and that the fear they have planted will be broken in the name of Jesus.
Scripture shows that fear is often a tool the enemy uses against God's children. It can paralyze, discourage, and push us to make wrong decisions when we react from fear rather than from faith. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith is pushed out, and where faith and confidence in God are strong, fear must leave. That is why remembering the Lord is the cure for fear.
David said, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me. He also asked his own soul, why are you cast down and disquieted within me, and then answered it by putting his hope in God. When our eyes are fixed on threats, on people, on the enemy, fear grows. When our eyes are fixed on the Lord, when we remember that greater is He who is with us than any who are against us, fear loses its power.
I prayed that you will know the protection of dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, under the shadow of His wings. His truth is your shield and covering. Jesus Himself used the truth of God's word to stand against the attacks of the enemy, and you can do the same. Before you sleep and when you wake from a bad dream, speak the truth of Scripture out loud. Say with the psalmist, the Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear, the Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid. In the time of trouble He will hide me and keep me safe. Let the Lord be your confidence, and He will keep your foot from being taken.
Do what is wise and prudent in your daily life, but do not be driven by fear of what others might do. If God desires to protect you, He can protect you wherever you are. You do not need to hide or strive out of fear. You can rest in His presence, for He has promised to be with you in trouble, to deliver you, to answer your prayers, and to show you His salvation.
The Bible also teaches that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. It is not a terror that crushes you, but a reverent awe of who God is, His greatness and power, loving what He loves and hating what is evil. Do not fear the sudden terror or the threats of people, for the fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe. People themselves are mortal, but God holds your life in His hands.
So I pray for you now: Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask you to rebuke every spirit of fear and every troubling dream that has harassed my dear one. Let none of these nightmares come to pass or take root. Wash away the images of threats, rejection, loss, and confusion. Fill this mind with Your peace that passes understanding. Let Your truth be a shield around this heart. Help this one to remember You day and night, to walk by faith and not by fear, and to rest securely knowing You are with them. Bring quiet, restful sleep, and wake them with confidence in Your love and protection. Amen.
Keep turning to the Lord whenever fear rises. Speak His word, remember His nearness, and trust that He is watching over you and will keep you.
