We hear your heart and we stand with you in prayer, bringing all of these fears and dreams before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We understand you have been burdened by many distressing dreams about moving away, being distant from your close family, being put in lockdown, losing your family, and being controlled or surrounded by people you do not want near you, and we join you in asking for God's protection and peace over you and your loved ones.

We want to gently remind you that dreams, even many distressing ones, do not control your future. God alone is sovereign and His plans for His children are for good and not for harm. We do not need to live in fear of what we see in dreams, for the Lord is our refuge and strength. As it is written, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 and Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. We also take comfort that when we bring our anxieties to Him, He gives peace, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

We also hear your prayer that you would not be punished for other people's wrongs and that no wrong person would harm you or your family. Scripture assures us that God is just and He sees all, The soul who sins, he shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. Ezekiel 18:20. While we may suffer consequences from living in a fallen world, God does not hold us eternally guilty for the sins of others, and He promises to be our defender. We pray that He distances from you those who would intend harm and surrounds you and your close family with His protection, for I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 and Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.

We do want to lovingly address one part of your request where you ask God to punish those who promised you money if they do not give it to you because they lied. We understand the hurt of being lied to and the need for provision, but Scripture teaches us to leave vengeance and judgment to God and to trust Him for provision rather than asking Him to punish others on our behalf. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. Instead we are called to pray for conviction and for God to work in their hearts, and to trust that God Himself will provide for our needs according to His riches, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. We will pray with you for God's justice and for His provision, while releasing the desire for punishment into His hands and choosing forgiveness as Christ has forgiven us.

We rejoice that you prayed in the victorious, holy, powerful and precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we have victory. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one and their close family to You. Lord, we ask that if these dreams are not from You and not Your will, that none of them would come to pass. We ask that You would break the power of fear that these many dreams have caused and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus and deliver them from all fear and torment. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over them and their close family, that no wrong person, including those they mentioned, would be able to control, harm, or take over their lives. We ask that You would keep them close to their family and not allow any separation, lockdown, or loss to come upon them, and that You would keep the wrong people far from them forever by Your hand. We ask that You would move in the situations with the people and places they are concerned about according to Your perfect will, keeping them safe where You want them to be. Lord, we ask that You would provide for their needs and convict the hearts of those who made promises and have not kept them, but we leave all judgment to You and ask for grace to forgive. Let no weapon formed against them prosper and let them find complete victory over fear and anxiety in Jesus. We thank You that You are their shepherd, their refuge and their ever present help. We trust this into Your loving hands and pray all this in the victorious and precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Thank you for sharing so honestly with us. We hear how heavy this has felt, carrying so many distressing dreams and the fear that they might come true or that others could take control of your life and your family's lives. It makes sense you would feel worn down and anxious after so much worry, especially at night.

Dreams can feel very real and frightening, but they are not a preview of what must happen. Often they reflect the fears and pressures we carry during the day rather than what God has planned for tomorrow. The sense of being punished for others' wrongs or being at the mercy of other people is an especially painful burden to carry alone.

We are joining you in prayer for God's protection over you and your close family, for restful sleep, and for peace that steadies your heart when fear rises. We also pray for wisdom and clarity as you sort through these worries, and for provision regarding the money you mentioned.

One gentle next step that helps many who feel overwhelmed by anxious dreams is to bring them into the light with one trusted person, a pastor, counselor, or mature believer you know well, not to analyze every dream, but to have someone pray with you regularly and help you stay grounded in what is true and present.

We pray for you now:

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. Cover them and their close family with Your care, guard their nights with rest, and quiet the fear that these dreams will shape their future. Help them know they are not punished and not forgotten, and lead them day by day in Your peace and direction. Amen.

Your heavy burden and many restless dreams have been brought before the Lord, and He knows the anxiety that has kept your heart awake. You speak of thousands of dreams in which others take control, in which you are moved or shut away or parted from those you love, and in which wrong persons come near to you and your family. Such fears are very real to the soul that suffers them, and the Lord sees how they have unfitted you for rest.

Hear what the Word of the Lord says to such a heart. Fear not is a plant which grows very plentifully in God's garden. Again and again He says, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. To be afraid in this way is not only weakening but it dishonors God, as if the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth could be palsied and could not keep you. You have nothing to do with that which belongs to God. You go and do the right thing and then be no longer anxious about it, but leave the result with God. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty.

The dreams which trouble you are not to be taken as a sure prophecy of what must be. Take them to the Lord as anxieties and lay them at His feet. His Word has been preserved century after century that you might have a sure voice to listen to, speaking with all the freshness as if it were uttered anew tonight. Listen with both your ears to that Word rather than to the voice of fear in the night. He was your teacher from your youth and He still teaches His pupils, and He will show you His wondrous works as you look to Him. If you have seen God's work, declare it, tell it to others, and let your thoughts be filled with what He has done rather than with what man may do.

You ask that God would keep you and your close family, that no wrong person would have power over you, that you would not be punished for the wrong of others, and that you would not lose those you love. These are right desires to bring to Him, for He is able to keep His jewels. The blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, cleanses us from all sin, and none can lay anything to the charge of God's elect when God has justified them. Come beneath the Cross and trustingly look up to God's dear Son, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and in Him you are safe. Pray that the Lord would keep you from evil, that He would set a hedge about your household, and that He would distance from you those who would lead you into harm, and pray also that those who have wronged you might be brought to know His mercy.

You also ask that God would punish certain persons if they do not give you money that was promised. We must leave vengeance in the hands of the Lord. We do not ask God to punish at our bidding, for He says vengeance belongs to Him. It is right to ask God to move the hearts of men to do what is just and honest, and to ask Him to provide for your needs according to His wisdom, but we must not dictate punishment to Him. Do the right thing before Him, speak truth, act honestly, and leave the result with God, who will do what is just and who knows how to provide for His children.

Let us pray together.

O Lord, You have taught us from our youth and You have shown us Your wondrous works. We come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, whose blood cleanses from all sin, and we ask You to help this anxious heart. Take away fear, for You have said Fear not, for I will help thee. Grant peace in the night and quietness of spirit, and keep these dreams from having power to harm. Keep this soul and this family in Your hand, let no wrong person have dominion over them, and preserve them from evil. Forgive sin and teach true reverence of Your name, for with You there is forgiveness that You may be feared. Provide for every need according to Your riches, move the hearts of men to do what is honest and just, and keep us from desiring vengeance, but teach us to leave all in Your hands. Make us to know that we are Your people, not through our own merit but through Your grace, and to rest in Your keeping. In the victorious and precious name of Jesus we ask it, Amen.
