We hear your heart and we stand with you in prayer, bringing all of these fears and dreams before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We understand you have been burdened by many distressing dreams about moving away, being distant from your close family, being put in lockdown, losing your family, and being controlled or surrounded by people you do not want near you, and we join you in asking for God's protection and peace over you and your loved ones.
We want to gently remind you that dreams, even many distressing ones, do not control your future. God alone is sovereign and His plans for His children are for good and not for harm. We do not need to live in fear of what we see in dreams, for the Lord is our refuge and strength. As it is written, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 and Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. We also take comfort that when we bring our anxieties to Him, He gives peace, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
We also hear your prayer that you would not be punished for other people's wrongs and that no wrong person would harm you or your family. Scripture assures us that God is just and He sees all, The soul who sins, he shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. Ezekiel 18:20. While we may suffer consequences from living in a fallen world, God does not hold us eternally guilty for the sins of others, and He promises to be our defender. We pray that He distances from you those who would intend harm and surrounds you and your close family with His protection, for I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 and Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.
We do want to lovingly address one part of your request where you ask God to punish those who promised you money if they do not give it to you because they lied. We understand the hurt of being lied to and the need for provision, but Scripture teaches us to leave vengeance and judgment to God and to trust Him for provision rather than asking Him to punish others on our behalf. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. Instead we are called to pray for conviction and for God to work in their hearts, and to trust that God Himself will provide for our needs according to His riches, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. We will pray with you for God's justice and for His provision, while releasing the desire for punishment into His hands and choosing forgiveness as Christ has forgiven us.
We rejoice that you prayed in the victorious, holy, powerful and precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we have victory. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one and their close family to You. Lord, we ask that if these dreams are not from You and not Your will, that none of them would come to pass. We ask that You would break the power of fear that these many dreams have caused and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus and deliver them from all fear and torment. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over them and their close family, that no wrong person, including those they mentioned, would be able to control, harm, or take over their lives. We ask that You would keep them close to their family and not allow any separation, lockdown, or loss to come upon them, and that You would keep the wrong people far from them forever by Your hand. We ask that You would move in the situations with the people and places they are concerned about according to Your perfect will, keeping them safe where You want them to be. Lord, we ask that You would provide for their needs and convict the hearts of those who made promises and have not kept them, but we leave all judgment to You and ask for grace to forgive. Let no weapon formed against them prosper and let them find complete victory over fear and anxiety in Jesus. We thank You that You are their shepherd, their refuge and their ever present help. We trust this into Your loving hands and pray all this in the victorious and precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
