We hear your heartfelt cry for protection over your loved ones, and we join you in lifting this request before the throne of grace. The Bible assures us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We take comfort in knowing that He is sovereign over all things, including the forces of darkness, and that no evil can prevail against those who trust in Him.

However, we must also address the importance of approaching God in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are covered and protected. We encourage you to pray in Jesus' name, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your divine protection over and . Lord, we rebuke every evil spirit and every plan of the enemy that seeks to harm them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, surround them with Your angels, that they may be encamped around about them, delivering them from all harm (Psalm 34:7). We pray that You would be a shield and fortress for them, a refuge in times of trouble (Psalm 91:2). Lord, we ask that You would expose and remove any evil influences in their lives, and fill them with Your peace, joy, and love.

We also pray for their spiritual well-being, that they would come to know You more deeply and walk in Your ways. May they find their strength and hope in You alone, and may their lives bring glory to Your name.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is faithful to His promises. Continue to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and trust in the Lord with all your heart, leaning not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). May God bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We hear the urgency in your plea, and we want you to know that you’re not carrying this fear alone. When the heart cries out for protection over the people we love most, it’s often a sign of how deeply we treasure them, and also how vulnerable we can feel in a world that sometimes feels shadowed and uncertain. Your prayer is simple, honest, and exactly the kind of prayer God welcomes: a heartfelt reaching out for His shelter.

We’ve seen how simply knowing that others are lifting those same names before the Lord can bring a sense of calm, even before we see any outward change. It’s not a formula, but a real comfort, the awareness that the God who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps is already on watch. He doesn’t need elaborate words; He knows the faces and stories attached to those two precious blanks in your note. So we’re joining you right now, asking Him to surround your loved ones with His mighty presence, to hedge them in from every harmful intent, and to send whatever is evil far from them.

We don’t pretend to know exactly what prompted this request, but we do know the One who is stronger than any darkness. We pray that He quiets your own heart too, that as you release this into His hands, you’ll find your shoulders relaxing and your breathing deepening, because the battle isn’t yours to win in your own strength.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear person’s loved ones to You now. You know their names and their needs. We ask You to station Your angels around them, to block any evil that would try to approach them, and to drive it away completely. Replace fear with a settled peace, and let this family rest in the confidence that no weapon formed against them can ultimately prosper, because You are their shield. Wrap them all in Your love, and keep them safe in body, mind, and spirit. In Your mighty name we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

The petition you have sent up is a dart aimed straight at the throne of grace, and it is written in the very language of faith. You have asked for protection, and you have confessed that it is God alone who can send away evil. This is well.

But take heed that you do not let your faith lie idle, as if it were a shield hung upon the wall. Faith is of no use except it be well handled. A soldier who says he has a shield but leaves it at home is a fool, and so is the believer who prays but does not take hold upon the promise with both hands. You have cried out for protection, now lift up that shield. The shadow of the Almighty is no mere feeling; it is a sure defense. Quench every fiery dart of the wicked one by holding up the very truth you have spoken: God is your refuge. When fear whispers that evil may yet approach your loved ones, answer it not with a trembling hope but with the full broadside of the promise. Say to the adversary, “It is Christ that died.” There is your shield, and it is of proof. A thousand swords shall be shivered upon it, and not one point shall reach those whom the Lord keeps.

You have asked that evil be sent away completely. Remember, then, that deliverance comes when the Lamb is slain. Our true rescue from the dark pestilence that walks by night and the arrow that flies by day was sealed at Calvary. The ransom is found, the blood is shed, and the power of darkness is broken. Therefore, do not merely ask, but also take the comfort that belongs to you. Let your prayer be mingled with a holy boasting in the Lord. Do not cast away your confidence, for it has great recompense of reward. The Spartan law was that the soldier who threw away his shield must die; and what shall become of the professor of religion who throws away his trust in the living God? You have come back from this skirmish with your shield still on your arm, for you have bowed the knee. Now go forward. Doubting is no duty; it is a snare. Handle your shield according to past experience. How many times has He delivered you already? That is the whetstone upon which you sharpen your courage for the next battle.

As for the evil you dread, look at it with a steady eye. Does it not have the horns of the Evil One stamped upon its brow? If it is a trial, remember that it lies within the fence of Omnipotent overruling. The Lord chastens His children sorely, but He does not give them over unto death. This very burden may be the black chariot in which a golden mercy rides. Affliction itself wraps up within it great benefit for those who are taught of God. Whether the trouble springs from the wickedness of men or from our own slips, the Lord knows how to use it. He brings His people forth, and not one of them is left in the iron furnace. The clock of mercy will strike in heaven at the very hour your deliverance is due.

Go now to your closet and take the shield again in prayer. Mention each dear one by name if you will, and pour out all the difficulties of the coming day. You are not wrestling alone. The least and feeblest of the family have the tender indulgence of the Father. And when the answer comes, see that you do not share the honor of the deliverance with your own pleadings. It must be of free grace alone. Then shall your mouth be filled with that song: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” To stand fast in these evil days and at last to hear Him say, “Well done,” will be enough to make us eternally happy. Hold fast your shield.

God hears your cry, for He is the Father of mercies. But when you ask Him to send away all evil completely, consider what evil truly is. It is not merely trouble or danger, but sin and separation from Him. The Lord Jesus said the ruler of this world had nothing in Him, and so it is for those who abide in Christ. True protection is not a life free from any harm; the Apostle Paul was delivered from the lion’s mouth, yet he still faced perils daily. God’s deliverance is this: He keeps the soul unspotted, the conscience clear, and brings good out of every trial, as He did with Joseph, whose prison became a place of safety and exaltation. So pray for your loved ones, but also teach them to flee the evil of sin, to put on Christ by holy living, and to trust in the One who gave Himself for our sins to deliver us from this present evil age. He will guard them from every evil work, not by removing all affliction, but by making them more than conquerors through His grace.
