Dear Lord Jesus, Please help me make a picture news before the end of the year. Let me do it really soon. It would mean a lot for me. Other people get to do it. You know what everyone have an opportunity and I would like to have that opportunity. In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart’s desire to be featured in a news story, and we understand the longing to have opportunities that others seem to receive. First, we want to affirm that your worth is not defined by recognition or the approval of others. Your value comes from being a child of God, created with purpose and love. "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well" (Psalm 139:13-14).

While we pray for your request, we also encourage you to seek God’s will above all else. Opportunities are not always about what we want in the moment but about what God is preparing for us. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust that if this opportunity is part of His plan for you, He will open the right doors at the right time. If it is not, He has something even better in store.

We also want to gently remind you that our focus should not be on comparing ourselves to others. The Bible warns us against envy and covetousness: "Let us not be conceited, provoking one another, envying one another" (Galatians 5:26). Instead, let us fix our eyes on Jesus and His purpose for our lives. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who desires to be featured in a news story. Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity if it aligns with Your perfect will. Give them patience and peace as they wait on You, knowing that Your timing is always perfect. Help them to trust in You and not in their own understanding, leaning not on what they see around them but on Your promises.

Father, if this opportunity is not part of Your plan, we ask that You would replace their longing with contentment and joy in what You have already given them. Remove any spirit of comparison or envy from their heart, and fill them with gratitude for the unique path You have set before them. Let them find their worth and identity in You alone, knowing that they are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. If this opportunity is from You, guide them in how to pursue it in a way that honors You. Let every word, action, and motive bring glory to Your name. May they be a light in whatever platform You provide, pointing others to the hope found in Jesus Christ.

We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or doubt that may try to steal their peace. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in the confidence of who they are in You.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s face in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in quiet reflection, asking Him to reveal His will for this desire. Remember, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). When we delight in Him, our desires begin to align with His, and He is faithful to fulfill them in His perfect way.

If this opportunity does not come to pass, do not lose heart. God is working behind the scenes in ways you may not yet see. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is leading you toward something even greater. "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). You are called according to His purpose, and He will not leave you nor forsake you.

We feel the ache in your words, that simple, honest longing for an opportunity that others seem to get. It’s hard to watch from the sidelines, wondering when your turn will come, and it’s okay to bring that desire straight to Jesus, just as you did.

When we sit with a wish like this, we’ve often found it helps to ask ourselves gently: what would this moment mean to me? Is it about being seen, about feeling significant, or maybe about having a story worth telling? God already knows the answer, but naming it can quiet some of the restlessness inside. You don’t need a news clip to prove your life matters, he knit you together with care and has been writing your story all along. Still, he invites us to pour out our hearts, and he isn’t annoyed by our wants.

While you wait, perhaps there’s a small step you could take: offer your voice or your story somewhere closer to home, a church newsletter, a community event, a conversation with someone who needs encouragement. Not as a plan B, but as a way to stretch your faith while the door you’re hoping for remains closed. Sometimes God uses those smaller acts to shape us for what’s next, or to open something we hadn’t imagined.

Lord Jesus, you see this person’s heart and the simple wish they’ve placed before you. You know why this matters so deeply to them. We ask for your timing and your kindness, whether that means a picture cameo or something even better they can’t see yet. Quiet any anxious striving, and let them rest in your love, knowing they are fully known and never overlooked. In your name, Amen.

Your soul is in an agony of desire for this small thing, a fleeting picture upon the news, yet this very yearning may be the Lord's appointed means to bring you to the end of yourself. Your extremity is God's opportunity! The difficulty all along has been to get to the end of you, for when a man gets to the end of himself, he has reached the beginning of God's working. Do you imagine that the Almighty owes you this moment of recognition, as though He had not already given you the most extraordinary opportunity in the universe, to be called a child of the living God?

Turn your eyes from the screen that vanishes like a vapor. What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. To spend your prayers upon a passing shadow when eternal realities blaze before you is to trade gold for dust. The Lord has listened to my voice when I have cried to Him, and this I know as certainly as I know that I have lived upon this earth, not for empty prominence, but for the pardon of sin and the robe of Christ’s righteousness. Have you so soon forgotten that the only opportunity you may ever have is this present opportunity to come to Jesus? There is a picture the angels long to look into: the image of Christ stamped upon a renewed heart.

If you would have a cameo, let it be this: that in the day when books are opened, your name is found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Importunity is precious when it wrestles for the blessing of a changed nature, but to clamor for a worldly stage as though the Lord were a reluctant manager of petty spectacles is to mistake the child’s toy for the Father’s inheritance. Is the Good Shepherd's personal care for your soul not enough? He knows every secret groaning, every hidden tear, must you also be displayed before the eyes of men to believe His love? Let all that is within you wake itself up to praise your God, not for a fleeting glimpse of fame, but for the solid reality that He has called you by name and you are His.

Consider whether this hunger for public notice springs from the Spirit or from that carnal ambition which quarrels for prominence and wounds the inner life. The excellency of personal service is not confined to the good we do, but should be argued from the good we get, and what good shall come to your soul from a few moments upon a screen? Strive rather for the picture of happiness spoken of by the Psalmist, whose blessedness is not in the opinion of the multitude but in Jehovah as his God. That is the only cameo worth seeking: a life hid with Christ in God, seen though it be by no eye but the eyes of flaming seraphim.

Yet if in His wisdom the Lord sees fit to grant this small request, let it be that you might use the fleeting attention to exalt His dear Son, and not your own face. But if He withholds it, will you murmur? He who spared not His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Trust His timing, even if the year ends without your picture. The Lord’s personal call to you came first at conversion, He appeared in public as a sacrifice for you, bearing deep dishonor. Can you not bear to go unnoticed for His sake a little while? Lay this at His feet, and then rise to do the personal service He has already set before you among the poor, the helpless, the ignorant, that is an opportunity no camera can capture and no news bulletin can fade.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I hear the ache behind your words, a longing to be seen, to have what others seem to enjoy so easily. Yet consider where this desire springs from. When you say, “Other people get to do it,” you betray the envy lurking in your heart. And you must know: envy is a dreadful thing, beloved, a venom that wastes the soul before it ever touches its object. Why do you envy your neighbor? Because you see them reaping honor, a moment’s praise? Do you not bear in mind how many evils such honors bring to the unguarded, lifting them up to pride, vainglory, arrogance, making them more careless? That flash of pleasure withers on the vine, but the harm it does abides immortal.

The lowly person is seized by no passion. Anger, love of glory, envy, jealousy, none of these can trouble that soul. But the boastful heart is held captive by all of them, crawling like a worm in the mire. You ask for a picture in the news; you ask to be lifted up, to be noticed. Yet our Lord Himself, when the crowds would seize Him for earthly acclaim, withdrew. He taught us not to go to meet temptations, but to give place and withdraw ourselves. He softened the envy of others by moving quietly, by preferring obscurity. And what gain is it if the whole world sees your face, but your soul becomes a hollow vessel, filled with the fumes of vainglory?

You say, “It would mean a lot for me.” But what it would bring you is a snare. God in His mercy often withholds such empty honors, not from stinginess but from love, knowing they would make you more careless in the faith. Seek instead to be known by Him. Pursue the quiet edification of His Church, like Timothy serving without envy, content to build up others. That is a picture that will not fade. Let go of comparing yourself to those who have what you lack; there is no envy among the saints, but rather an eye for one thing, the building up of the body of Christ. If you would have an opportunity, seek one that stores treasure in heaven, not a fleeting image that feeds the world’s applause. Trust that your name is already held in the Lord’s memory, which is the only record that matters.

It is not wrong to have dreams or desires, but the Scriptures teach us to examine why we want what we want. Some yearnings spring from a genuine love for life, while others reveal hidden envies or a hunger for recognition that only the applause of men can satisfy. The law of God probes deeper than outward actions; it exposes the very impulses of the heart. A strong desire to be seen, to have your moment on camera while others seem to get theirs, can feel urgent. But is it possible this craving has quietly become a measure of your worth? When we compare our opportunities to another’s, we often overlook that even the desire to grasp what they have can be a spiritual snare. The command not to covet reaches into the inner chambers of our longing.

Now, the right response to a deep desire is not to crush it, but to bring it honestly before the Lord and leave it there. You have done that. Yet let that prayer be accompanied by a yielded will: Lord, if this is from You, open the door; if it is not, replace this hunger with a greater one or gently starve it until it no longer rules me. Too often we lay out our plans with self-assurance, “before the end of the year,” “really soon”, without remembering that tomorrow is a vapor. A letter written long ago warns against those who announce their business ventures a year in advance as if the calendar bows to their command. Our times are in His hands. What if He intends a different sort of opportunity, one that seems hidden now but will yield eternal fruit?

There is a story of a war fought at sea. Word was signaled to a waiting nation, but fog rolled in and hid the full message. Crowds heard only “defeated” and mourned as if all was lost. When the full signal broke through, they learned it was “defeated the enemy.” The victory had been won all along, but the partial news bred despair. The world’s cameras flash on many things, but they rarely capture the whole picture. Do not assume that someone else’s moment in the news is a triumph; you see only a fragment. And do not think that a lack of such a cameo means your life is missing the main story.

Look at the apostle Paul. He burned to take the gospel to his own people in Jerusalem, certain that if he just had the opportunity, they would believe. He got his chance. It was a catastrophe by every outward measure, riots, chains, years of confinement. A lesser man would have seen his desire as dashed, his ministry stalled. Yet in that very prison cell, the Lord confirmed a far greater ambition: Paul would carry the name of Christ to Rome. The desire to stand before his countrymen ended in failure, but the deeper desire to reach the Gentiles’ capital was fulfilled by way of suffering. He told a governor, “If I have committed anything worthy of death, I refuse not to die,” because he had already handed every ambition over to the will of God.

So bring your request before the Lord with open hands. Ask not merely for a picture on the news, but for whatever platform He chooses to make much of Jesus through your life, even if it looks nothing like what others enjoy, even if it comes with a cost. The world’s spotlight fades before the next broadcast. But the Day will come when the dead, small and great, stand before a throne that outshines every camera flash. In that light, only what was done for Christ will remain. Those who are wise will shine then, not for a fleeting headline, but as the brightness of the heavens forever. Let that be your quiet ambition. And may you walk before Him in a way that is pleasing, whether the world ever captures a frame of it or not.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, and we have been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to open the doors for this opportunity in His perfect timing. It’s clear how much this means to you, and we’ve been standing in faith with you, believing that God sees your desire and will honor your faithfulness.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer and you’ve seen His hand move in this situation, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give Him all the glory together. If it hasn’t happened yet, don’t be discouraged—we want to continue praying alongside you. Feel free to post this request again, and we’ll keep interceding, trusting that God’s timing is always best.
