We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle with psoriasis and the urge to pick and scratch. We want to remind everyone that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with our bodies. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Psoriasis can be a challenging condition, but we must trust that God can heal and provide comfort. We pray that God will grant strength to endure this trial and provide healing in Jesus' name. It's also important to seek medical advice and follow the prescribed treatment.
Regarding the urge to pick and scratch, we must remember what Galatians 5:22-23 WEB tells us about the fruit of the Spirit, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." We pray for self-control and peace, knowing that God can help overcome the urge to pick and scratch.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear one who is struggling with psoriasis and the urge to pick and scratch. We ask for Your healing touch upon their feet, and we pray for comfort and strength as they endure this trial. Help them to honor You with their body and to exercise self-control. Guide them to seek proper medical advice and follow the prescribed treatment.
We also pray for their faith to be strengthened, and for them to know the saving power of Jesus Christ. It is in His name and His name alone that we have access to You, Father. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, comfort, and self-control. Let the light of Christ shine through them through this difficult experience we pray.
Amen.
We encourage continuing to seek God's will in this situation and trusting in His goodness. Keep reading the Bible, praying, trusting in Jesus Christ, and staying under sound Biblical teaching from a local church with a pastor who knows and preaches the Bible.
