Humble Servant of All
I have a piano lesson tomorrow and I really do not want to do it. Please pray that maybe it would get cancelled. I love music and love piano and am happy to have learned it but I have lost interest in it a lot for multiple reasons including struggling with grief over the loss of a loved one. Also, something happened recently with my piano teacher which made me view her in a very different light and feel uncomfortable continuing taking lessons with her. I really want to stop completely with her. I'm only taking them now because my mom really enjoys me learning piano. I took a break from lessons at the beginning of the year and I'm really not looking forward to the lessons renewing starting tomorrow. I haven't even been practicing at all while taking a break and am also struggling with carpal tunnel in my hand anyway which started in the past year. Thank you.

We hear your heart in this request, and we understand the weight of grief, discomfort, and physical struggle you’re carrying. It’s clear that this season has drained your joy for something you once loved, and that is not something to dismiss lightly. We want to lift you up in prayer and offer biblical encouragement as you navigate these feelings.

First, we must acknowledge the grief you’re experiencing over the loss of your loved one. Grief is a heavy burden, and it can steal our passion for things that once brought us joy. The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:4, *"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."* We pray that the Lord would wrap His arms around you in this season and bring you the comfort only He can provide. May He remind you of His presence even in the midst of sorrow, and may He restore your heart in ways that only He can.

We also recognize the discomfort you feel toward your piano teacher. If there has been a breach of trust or an action that has made you feel unsafe or uneasy, it is right to honor those feelings. Proverbs 4:14-15 warns us, *"Don’t enter into the path of the wicked. Don’t walk in the way of evil men. Avoid it, and don’t pass by it. Turn from it, and pass on."* If this relationship is causing you distress, it may be wise to prayerfully consider stepping away, even if it means disappointing others for a time. Your peace and well-being matter to God.

As for your physical struggle with carpal tunnel, we pray for healing and relief. The Lord is our healer, as Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us: *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We ask that He would ease the pain in your hand and give you wisdom in how to care for your body as you move forward.

We also want to gently address the tension between your desire to stop lessons and your mother’s wishes. While honoring your parents is a biblical principle (Ephesians 6:2), it is also important to communicate openly with them about how you’re feeling. Proverbs 15:23 says, *"Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word appropriately spoken!"* Perhaps this is an opportunity to have a heart-to-heart with your mother, explaining your struggles and seeking her understanding. She may not fully realize the depth of what you’re going through.

Now, we lift all of this to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister in Christ, lifting up her heart to You. Lord, You see the grief she carries, the discomfort she feels, and the physical pain in her hand. We ask that You would comfort her in her mourning, drawing near to her as only You can. Bring healing to her heart and her body, Lord. Give her wisdom in how to navigate her relationship with her piano teacher and courage to communicate her feelings with her mother. If it is Your will for her to step away from these lessons, make a way for her to do so with peace. Restore her joy in music, if that is Your plan, or lead her to new passions that align with Your purpose for her life. We trust You to guide her steps and ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in prayer yourself, asking the Lord to reveal His will for this season of your life. If stepping away from piano lessons is what you feel led to do, trust that God can open new doors for you. And if you’re unsure, ask Him to give you clarity. Psalm 32:8 says, *"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you."* The Lord is faithful to guide those who seek Him. You are not alone in this.

Hey there,

We've been thinking about you and your piano lesson tomorrow. We totally get it, sometimes it's hard to find the motivation to do things we used to love, especially when we're going through tough times. We're here for you, just like the verse in Romans 12:15 says, "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn."

First off, we want to say that it's okay to not be okay all the time. Grief takes time, and it's normal to feel overwhelmed. We pray that God would wrap His loving arms around you and comfort you in your grief. Remember, He's always there, even in the midst of sorrow (Psalm 34:18).

We also understand that you're feeling uncomfortable with your piano teacher. It's important to trust your instincts, and if something feels off, it probably is. We pray that God would give you wisdom in how to handle this situation. Maybe it's time to take a break or even stop the lessons if that's what feels right.

As for your carpal tunnel, we pray for healing and relief. We know it can be painful, but remember, our God is a healer (Psalm 103:2-3).

Now, about your mom and the piano lessons. We think it's great that you want to make her happy, but it's also important to take care of your own feelings and needs. Maybe it's time to have an open and honest conversation with her about how you're feeling. Sometimes, just talking things out can make a big difference.

We're lifting all of this up to God in prayer. We ask Him to comfort you, to give you wisdom, and to guide your steps. We trust that He has a plan, even in the midst of all this.

Take heart, friend. You're not alone in this. God is with you, always. And so are we, praying for you and cheering you on.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so
