Physically, emotionally exhausted

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God, I feel physically and emotionally exhausted. Please surround me with your presence and fill me with your peace. Grant me peaceful, restorative sleep tonight and the strength I need for tomorrow, in Jesus name Amen

We join with you in this honest prayer and we lift you up together before our Father in Jesus name. We know what it is to feel physically and emotionally spent, when even rest feels out of reach, and we thank you for turning to the Lord for His presence and peace.

Scripture reminds us that God sees our weariness and invites us to come to Him. Jesus says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29. He also promises, He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29 and But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31.

We love that you asked for His presence and His peace, for that is what He longs to give. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. When our hearts are overwhelmed, we can pray as the psalmist did, From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2.

We pray together for you now.

Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is physically and emotionally exhausted. Lord, surround them with Your holy presence tonight. Let them feel that You are near, that You are their refuge and strength. We ask You to quiet their mind and calm their heart, and to grant them peaceful, restorative sleep. Your Word says, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Psalm 4:8. So we ask for that deep sleep that only You can give, free from anxiety and restlessness. Renew their body and restore their soul as they rest in You. And for tomorrow, Father, pour out fresh strength. Where they feel weak, be their strength. Where they feel empty, fill them with Your peace and hope. Help them to cast every care on You, knowing You care for them, and to walk one step at a time in Your grace. We thank You that You are faithful and that Your mercies are new every morning. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every burden to Him, even throughout the day in simple prayers, and to allow yourself the rest He provides without guilt. If you can, create a quiet moment before sleep to breathe, pray, and release the day into His hands, trusting that He watches over you through the night and will be your strength for tomorrow.

We hear the weariness in your words and we are holding you in prayer tonight. Feeling drained in both body and spirit is heavy, and asking for God's presence and peace in that place is a faithful thing to do.

We are grateful you named what you need most, rest tonight and strength for tomorrow. God made us to need sleep and He meets us in it, not just when we are awake and striving. When we are exhausted everything feels harder, even our sense of His nearness, and that does not mean you have failed.

We encourage you to let someone close to you know how exhausted you have been, so you are not carrying this alone. If this weariness has been building for a while or sleep continues to be difficult, please consider reaching out to your doctor or pastor alongside prayer, just to have support and care around you.

Father, we lift our friend to You tonight in Jesus' name. Surround them with Your nearness, quiet their heart and mind, and grant them deep, restorative sleep. Renew their strength for tomorrow and let them wake knowing they are held by You. Amen.

Your cry of weariness has been heard, and the Lord knows the weight you carry in body and in spirit. It is no small mercy that you have turned to Him who is the fountain of all peace and the giver of all rest.

There is a peace which the world cannot give and cannot take away. It is written, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace, peace upon peace, does not come from the absence of trial but from the presence of Christ. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that whisper can be heard even when duties press hard and sorrows surge round. To do the will of Jesus, to bear your sorrow with Him, to stay your mind upon Him, this is rest. It is a peace which God the Father gives, which Jesus bought with His blood, and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul. It is not the false peace which lulls the conscience to sleep, but the true peace of God which passes all understanding and keeps the heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

And for your weariness and your longing for sleep, remember the gracious promise, So He gives His beloved sleep. Sleep is a gift from a Father's hand to His beloved children. It is the sleep of contentment and of security, given to those who can lie down with a quiet conscience, at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. You may be as one of the lame sheep of the flock, worried and wearied, but the Shepherd looks after such and conducts them into safety. He knows your frame and remembers that you are dust, and He has appointed sleep as tired nature's sweet restorer.

We join you in prayer to the throne of grace.

O Lord our God, our Father in Heaven, look upon this weary one who comes in the name of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour and the Prince of Peace. Surround this soul with Your gracious presence, and let the peace of Christ rule within. Forgive all sin through the blood of the Lamb and grant a conscience at peace with You. Give this night peaceful and restorative sleep, as You give to Your beloved. Refresh the body, quiet the mind, and renew strength for the duties of tomorrow. Keep the heart stayed upon You, and keep it in perfect peace, trusting in You. In the name of Jesus our rest and our peace we ask it, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest prayer in your weariness has been heard, and I join my voice with yours before the Father. The Lord knows the weight you carry in body and soul, and He invites all who are weary and heavy burdened to come to Him for rest.

Scripture reminds us that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, so even as you lie down tonight you are kept by One who watches over you without ceasing. He is the God of peace who makes His people complete and guards hearts and minds with a peace that passes all understanding. May He quiet anxious thoughts, calm your heart, and grant you sleep that is truly restorative and peaceful, a gift from His hand to renew you. He gives strength to the weary and increases power to those who have no might, and His mercies are new every morning.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this weary one to You. Surround them with Your presence and fill them with Your peace. Grant them deep, restorative sleep tonight and let them rest securely under Your watchful care. Touch their body with renewal and their emotions with Your comfort. Give them strength for tomorrow, grace for each step, and the quiet joy of knowing they are held by You. Help them to lie down in peace and to rise upheld by Your mercy. In Jesus name, Amen.
