Physically, emotionally exhausted

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God, I feel physically and emotionally exhausted. Please surround me with your presence and fill me with your peace. Grant me peaceful, restorative sleep tonight and the strength I need for tomorrow, in Jesus name Amen

We join with you in this place of physical and emotional exhaustion and we lift you up before our Father together in Jesus' name. We are thankful you called upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone we have access to the Father and find rest for our souls. We hear how weary you are and we want you to know that God sees your tiredness and He does not expect you to carry this burden in your own strength.

Scripture reminds us of His tender care for us when we are worn out. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. He gives power to the weak and He increases the strength of him who has no might as we read in Isaiah 40:29, and those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength as promised in Isaiah 40:31. When our hearts are overwhelmed He invites us to cast all our worries on Him because He cares for us as seen in 1 Peter 5:7. His peace is able to guard our hearts and thoughts even when our bodies and minds feel empty, for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus in Philippians 4:7. And He lovingly gives the gift of sleep to His children, for He gives sleep to His beloved in Psalm 127:2, and In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety in Psalm 4:8.

We pray together for you now.

Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we lift up Your weary child to Your throne of grace. We ask You to surround them tonight with Your holy presence and to fill the room where they rest with Your perfect peace. Quiet every anxious thought and calm every ache in their body. Grant them deep, peaceful and truly restorative sleep tonight, the kind only You can give. Lay Your healing hand upon them and renew their strength for tomorrow. When they awake, fill them anew with Your joy and with power for each step, so they can walk and not faint and run and not be weary. Help them to continue to cast every care upon You and to find their rest in Christ alone. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to give yourself permission to rest in Him without guilt, to bring every worry to Him honestly in prayer, and to let His Word comfort you as you fall asleep tonight. He is your rock when your heart is overwhelmed and He will sustain you day by day. We are praying that you will feel His nearness tonight and wake renewed in His strength.

We hear how weary you are right now, and we are grateful you brought this honest prayer to the Lord. Feeling physically and emotionally exhausted at the same time can make even simple things feel heavy, and it makes sense you are longing for His presence and for real rest tonight.

God made us to need sleep and renewal, and that need is not a weakness. When we go without good rest, it affects our bodies, our emotions and our sense of peace all together. Wanting restorative sleep and strength for tomorrow is a good and humble request to bring to Him.

Tonight if you are able, give yourself a little extra margin around bedtime. Dim the lights, set phones and tasks aside a bit earlier than usual, and let your mind and body have a quieter runway into sleep. If you can, let one thing that could wait until tomorrow actually wait, or ask someone you trust to help carry a small part of the load.

If this deep exhaustion continues over days or weeks, we gently encourage you to reach out to your doctor or a trusted pastor or counselor in person as well, so someone can walk with you and support you alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You tonight. Surround them with Your nearness and quiet what feels stirred and tired inside. Grant peaceful, restorative sleep and renew strength for tomorrow as only You can. Let them sense Your peace and know they are held by You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your weariness is known to the Lord, and He does not despise the cry of the faint. Human strength, even at its best, will spend itself in due time, for all strength apart from God is derived and measurable and must come to an end. But the promise stands, He gives power to the faint and to them that have no might He increases strength. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

There is a perfect peace which God keeps for those whose mind is stayed upon Him, because they trust in Him. It is not the false peace of a conscience lulled to sleep, but a blessing which comes through the blood of Jesus which whispers peace within. Even when duties press and sorrows surge round, to do the will of Jesus is rest, and to bear your sorrow with Him is to enjoy peace with a heavenly light even in the midnight of care. When you feel that what lies before you is beyond you, stop a moment and breathe a prayer for more strength, for there is strength laid up for you in Christ.

And the Lord who gives peace also gives sleep. So He gives His beloved sleep, not only the sleep of the body but the sleep of contentment and of security, the quiet of a conscience right with God and a heart kept in safety by Jesus. You may lie down in that keeping, for whether loved ones are near or far, in Jesus keeping we are safe.

May the Lord Himself strengthen you, for He says, I will strengthen them, and what He imparts is fitly given and wisely balanced. Wait upon Him now, look to Him, trust Him to do what nature cannot do.

I join my prayer with yours before the Father. Father God, surround this weary one with Your presence and fill the heart with Your perfect peace. Grant tonight peaceful and restorative sleep as You give to Your beloved, and renew strength for tomorrow, that waking may be with fresh power to walk in Your will. This I ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer in this season of physical and emotional exhaustion is heard, and I join you in bringing it before our merciful Father.

The Scripture calls Him the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ through the blood of the everlasting covenant. It is from Him that true peace comes, not only quiet around us but quiet within us, when the war inside the soul is stilled and we are made able to rest in His will. That is the peace I ask for you now, a peace that guards the heart even when the body is weary.

You have asked for restorative sleep, and this too is a gift from His hand. While you sleep He does not sleep. As the Psalm says, He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He will not suffer your foot to be moved. You can lie down knowing you are watched over by One who is always awake in love and care. When the heart is not burdened and stifled by anxious thoughts, sleep can be light and composed and truly refreshing, a real rest for both body and soul.

Remember also those who sang at midnight after many stripes and imprisonment, and yet praised God in the night. God was present with them in their pain and gave them strength beyond their own. He is present with you in the same way now, not always removing the weariness at once, but surrounding you with His presence and renewing strength for each day as it comes.

So let us pray together. Father God, look with compassion upon Your child who is weary in body and soul. Surround this one with Your presence and fill the heart with Your peace in Christ. Grant tonight a peaceful and restorative sleep, and in Your mercy give new strength for tomorrow. Teach us to watch and be sober, to guard our hearts, and to seek that quiet and peaceable life in all godliness which You desire for us. Work in us what is well pleasing in Your sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
